The apartments were cheaply built.. my breakers tripped multiple times, my toilet line froze, I had mildew on my furniture and this was in a newly built unit. Overall it got the job done but I think I paid too much for what I got.

Pool closes too early in summer. No longer allowed to have grills. Need common grills in recreational areas

We have had issues with our deposit as well as having to submit many service requests. Some service requests we have had to submit many times.

There is no noise cancelation in the building so you can hear everything including things you don't need to hear. The walls are thin, and all the material is of the cheaper quality. If you're going to live here, live on the top floor; otherwise, probably not worth it. I live downtown now and lifestyle is way better for most bang for your buck. Highly recommend looking at other places in ankeny (southern ankeny or close to the district) or downtown des moines. This apartment complex isnt worth it, I rather pay a few hundred more and have noise cancelation along with other perks. But depends what you're looking for, it's a decent spot between ames, polk city and downtown des moines. I just don't think the value for what you pay here is a reasonable rate. Look elsewhere before resorting to this.

While some is to be expected of community living, we do have noise ordinances in place to ensure a more peaceful environment, but we are happy to look further into such concerns if a resident feels a neighbor is in violation of these ordinances. I think a corporate owned complex is difficult to live in. Some policies make no sense and the local staff is stuck trying to manage residents with ridiculous rules and policies. Poor notification of changes in rules or changes in payment options, key access etc.
