Barkley Ridge

I lived here in 2022. the price was fair when I signed my lease, especially given the age of the building. that being said, days after moving in the ceiling leaked onto my TV, they fixed the roof but would not replace my TV. every 3 months they do pest control, but you have to remove everything from your cabinets, which is very inconvenient. the worst part is the smell of the hallways, it smells like cigarettes and mold, and all my clothes would have a strange smell after sitting in the closet. I dont know why they allow smoking in the building, that is unacceptable. if it weren't for the smell I honestly would have put up with everything else. the rent went up over 100$ after my lease, and that price for a one bedroom stinky apartment was absurd, I was able to move into a cleaner more private apartment for not much more money. one more thing, the dumpsters are not emptied on time and they pile up and get nasty. this is a decent place if you're poor, im sure there are worse places in nky, but it's not nice at all, just tolerable. the one thing I will compliment is the maintenance guys, very friendly and prompt. avoid if you can afford to.

I didn't even get to finish my lease within 4 months of living here apartment was okay on move in the 1st week we caught 2 mice thought no big deal it happens out of the the 4 months they chewed wholes through the walls coming in office gave mice traps just to keep coming back every week to get more they told me will send out pest control just for them to look around and spray 1 corner that did not help I 1 day decided to go through my closet only to find 8 mice in there all at that moment they canceled are lease said we have till December move out on the phone with another caller on the conference call heard them tell me you don't have to pay rent for December was a fat lie charges us even when they said the lease was broke. the only reason i even bring this to attention is the mice hade destroyed my closet and the clothes that where packed in bins are apartment was always clean I would not recommend this place stay far away.

They do no upkeep on the apartments, nor do they respond to any service calls.. Charge way to much for what the apartments are like.. I had a spider and earwig infestation and they would not help at all.

Old and run-down, some bug problems, no balconies, management did a poor job keeping the property up.

Management & maintenance services were very good.

It's a dump. Full of drug addicts and drunkards. People there have no consideration for others. They play their music so loud at night. They yell and cry out their windows. They burn their tires leaving the parking lots. Like I said, ITS A HOLE AND THE RENT IS TOO HIGH for all the stuff a person has to put up with to live here. And, good luck getting someone to come fix anything. ITS A HOLE !!!!!
