I really hate giving bad reviews, but I just need to vent. I moved here just recently. I was excited because t Read Morehe location is great. But I now regret my decision to move here. The apartment is old, the bathrooms are old and look like a public bathroom at a metro station and the kitchen cabinets are way too old to still be in here. The medicine cabinets in the bathrooms are old and rusted. Lets not forget about the tub, its disgusting and dirty/dingy(no matter what I've used to clean it), it feels like I'm showering in someone else's funk. The water from the pipes smells sort of moldy. There is a loud noise coming from the boiler room right below my bedroom which makes it impossible to get a good night's sleep(which they are fully aware of and have NOT done anything about). After a month of living here, they promised to change the kitchen/bathrooms shower/sinks faucets. Its been three months since then, and NOTHING has been changed. I try not to complain much because I too work in customer service and I know how annoying that can be. I'm highly disappointed because they all seem so nice. Management needs to hire more maintenance workers with great skills to make this a better place for the residents. I've been doing my my best to be content, but its hard coming home to a place that just doesn't feel like home. Its kinda frustrating.

I needed a location to move in quick and they had a deal going on and the gentleman in the front office was he Read Morelpful with my application. After living here for almost 8 months I'm cannot wait until my lease is up. I truly believe that for the price that they are asking for the apartment they should have more included and better customer service from the front office. I wished I would've done more research and actually had someone walk my apartment with me before signing my lease. The walls are extremely thin in the whole apartment building. I can hear my neighbors having conversations. Maintenance request takes forever to get fulfilled. It took them two weeks to replace the bulb in my kitchen and three weeks to come out to look at my washer and dryer, then another two weeks to fix it. Another downside you pay for everything. From trash pick up to electricity, there is nothing included in your rent. You pay rent, water, gas, electricity, trash pick up and a service fee. When looking at other apartments to move to they at least included one (gas, electric or water) and they don't charge the trash or service fee. My apartment was rushed and after living here for a few months you began to notice small things like the carpet being uneven or doors not being fully on hinges. My dad works for a housing development in DC, and he came to fix a few things but I shoulda just had him walkthrough before I said YES. I needed something soon and they were available so that's why the three stars. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody ever. I have a hard time getting to the rental office. They send your calls to a call center and then when you finally get to the office they act like they know nothing or try transferring you somewhere else. I will not be renewing my least. I've already found three other apartments that offer the same thing but with more things included for no more than an extra $100 a month.

Terrible place full of bedbugs and roaches. Asking them for help doesn't work either, because they want my gir Read Morelfriend and I to roll back the carpet from all the walls, remove the outlets and light switches and live with all of our possessions and furniture in plastic bags in the middle of the floor for over a month. Is this legal? Don't move here if you care about your happiness or the safety of your family.

This is a Well-Known place for theft, robbery and jeopardy. I am a victim of four robberies in this location. Read More My car wheels were stolen twice (in 10 months), two bikes were stolen from my balcony, a parcel delivered was stolen from my door. Im aware of four, wheel robberies near the building I lived (no more than 50 feet from the building I lived - 2 from Honda accord, 1 from Toyota Camry, 1 from Honda Civic). I took my experience into the attention of Light House property management each time. This property management hasnt taken any action to prevent these situations. I walked into the Light House office, the same day when my car wheels were stolen, to report the incident. The female office worker refused to listen my agony, and she threatened she would call police, if I dont step out of the office because it was 1 minute past 6pm (though the door was opened when I got in). I had a conversation with a police officer who was living in the next building; and he said he is leaving because his wife was illtreated by Light House office employees. Doesnt end here, there are more & more. I could not afford to lose my car wheels again and therefore I gave two- month notice to the property manager and she permitted me to go (after walked in to the office many times). After a month I vacated from Light House I received a collection notice from Morgan Properties, without issuing a bill. Again, I had to walk in to the office more than once to settle that issue. When I left that dwelling it was reasonably clean, still I had to pay around 650 dollars penalty though I had faced a lot of disgrace by theft while I was staying in this location.

I had lived at the complex for 9 years, because I loved the pool. But even the pool has lost it's joy because Read Moreof the current management and a lack of stairs into the pool. The rent has jumped up each year a lot. Threatening noticed come all the time just to keep you on edge. Minnie blinds are damaged even if they are not. Text and emails with the same message 14 times at 10:30 p.m. Water main breaks, and then there was the shooting and no email to say anything about why or what was done about it. So please think twice before you move in. You will wish you hadn't.
