    I have been living in this building for over 10+ years, and the managers and staff were delightful, and most of our amenities worked and there was always hot water.

    I have been renting here for a few years. As with most apartments there are pros and cons. Pros- location and nice size units.Cons:1. Constant repairs throughout the building. It appears maintenance does a quick fix only to have to come back shortly after because they didn't fix it properly the first time. It can't be because of finances since they had plenty of money to renovate the lobby, which is nice looking but let's face it, residents don't live in the lobby. Money could have gone towards elevators which cause a lot of disruption. 2-Elevators are ALWAYS broken causing disruption and overcrowding. Management claims each time that they are being repaired but yet they are constantly broken. They spent money to renovate the elevators and even install what appears to be cameras inside (of course without sending any notice to residents) but haven't actually fixed the elevators so they function properly. 3- Constant "repairs" in garage causing disruption in parking.4-Bug infestation in units.5-Water leaks.6-A/C issues.7-Hot water issues.8-Large turnover of residents. With all the issues in the building, there should be more communication from management.Management could do better. Definitely leaving at end of my lease.

    The AC in this buildin is garbage and has been for years and its only getting worse. The entire system shuts down anytime the outside temp approaches 90 degrees, which here in DC, is practically a weekly occurrence in the summer months. Today the heat index was 106 degrees. He same is forecast for tomorrow. 90+ degrees forecast for the remainder of the week. Weve complained and complained. Nothing ever gets addressed. Its absurd. This building DOES NOT have AC. The lobby is on a separate system so its ice cold when you into the building. Managements offices are kept at a brisk temp in the 60s. Their AC never breaks. Our AC is out of service more often than not. Last summer they gave everybody $40 to buy a little fan in the hopes of keeping residents cool. WTF? I pay $2300/month. I could save $1000/month living in a building that doesnt have central air. The people running this place are slum lords. The building is deteriorating. Long term residents are jumping ship. Its a shame because the front line concierge staff and maintence personnel are great. Always very friendly and helpful. But that only goes so far. When its 106 degrees, not having AC sucks real bad no matter how big a smile theyve got on their face when theyre telling you its broken again. 3rd multiple day building wide AC outage since they turned it on a month ago. Dont believe a thing this place tells you. They have zero credibility. Half of the reviews on these sites are actually posted by management! Theyre easy to pick out. Theyre the only 5 stars youll see posted. Steer clear, youve been warned.

    I have lived in this building for more than 12 years now . . . and this is the worst shape that our building has even been . . . it is clear that the buildings owners and management care only about getting new tenants in but do NOT care about the residents that are living here already.The so-called Gym is a case in point. Most of the equipment in the Gym is either broken or does not function well . . . for the past few years!!! Repeated requests to management by many residents to correct the malfunctions goes unanswered, blaming budget constraints or just plain old lack of care . . . for at least the past year.Examples include:1. The only weight/flex machine has been broken for more than 6 months;2. Treadmills either do not work or not properly leveled (injuring every person that uses them); 3. We are missing the critical 30 pounders dumbbells for the past 2 years now (yes, we have 25 lbs. and 35 lbs., but no 30 I know, crazy), and management says that they have no budget to buy replacement dumbbells (even when you can get a per for $70 at amazons);4. An elliptical has not been functioning for at least 3 months;5. TVs are present but most do not function, and those that do have no headphone connectivity get ready to hear various programs simultaneously load when 2 or more residents wants to watch different programming;6. We used to have a water cooler . . . it broke . . . so instead of fixing it, they just removed it altogether . . . so now theres nothing to drink and you must bring your-own or get dehydrated . . . at the Gym; and7. The management is trying to push residents to sign up for a membership at an independent gym a few blocks away . . . really, I am not kidding . . . likely they get kickbacks for each resident that signs up . . . could that be the real reason why the so-called gym at the building is in such a bad shape?
