Our lease terms are: 12 months.
Pet Policy: $35 pet rent. Restrictions: Landmark is a pet friendly community. We currently accept a maximum of 2 cats or 1 dog with the exception of the following breeds: Pit-bulls, Rottweilers, Chows, Akitas, American Staffordshire, Shar-Pei, Bull Terriers or any aggressive breed. Maximum weight is 25 lbs. at maturity. A signed pet addendum is required at the time of move-in. A $250 non-refundable pet deposit, per pet, is required at the time of move-in, along with a $35 monthly pet rent, per pet.

I am a current resident of Landmark Apartments, formerly known as Cypress Creek. When I first moved in a few y Read Moreears ago there where a lot of things that was wrong with my apartment that I could not get fix with Cypress Creek!! Since Landmarks has taken over I have no problems at all with getting things fixed in my apartment. I talk to Jameka in the maintenance office who is very helpful with getting things done very quickly!! Since Jameka has taken her position in the maintenance office she is on top of getting things done in a timely manner. Jameka has also gives me a call back to make sure that I am happy with the work that maintenance has done in my apartment. I love talking to Myrna in the front office. Myrna is always there ready to help with anything that I need!! I like it that Myrna knows all of her residents by there names. If she has another resident in the office she will tell you to give her a minute an she will be right with you. Myrna is very nice, helpful and pleasant all the time. I love living at Landmark Apartments!!!

RUN AND DO MEAN RUN. IF WOULD LIKE TO LIVE WITH MICE, FALLING CEILINGS, BACKED UP TOLIETS AND TUBS THEN THIS Read MoreIS THE PLACE FOR YOU. THIS IS BY FAR ONE OF THE WORST PLACES IVE EVER RESIDED. THE ONLY THING THIS PROPERTY CARES ABOUT IS COLLECTING RENT. OH BY THE WAY, YOU BETTER MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR RENT RECEIPTS BECAUSE YOU MAY FIND A COURT NOTICE ON YOUR DOOR...EVEN THOUGH YOUVE PAID ON TIME. OH, HOW CAN I FORGET ABOUT THE 1982 HOTEL HVAC UNITS. PLEASE DONT LET IT GO OUT, REPAIRED (5+ EVERY SEASON). AFTER 2 YRS. IT HAS FINALLY BEEN REPLACED....YES...I SAID 2 YRS. I WOULD HOPE YOURE A SENIOR CITIZEN AND CAN GET A DISCOUNT ON YOUR ELECTRIC (PEPCO)...IF. NOT EXPECT TO PAY AT THE LEAST $200+ IN ELECTRICITY FEES. LETS NOT EVEN BEGIN ABOUT THE PARKING. YOU BETTER NOT ATTEMPT TO COME HOME AFTER 10PM....NO WHERE TO PARK ON THE LOT NOR ON THE STREET NEAR THE COMPLEX. THEY LURE POTENTIAL RENTERS IN BY SHOWING OFF THEIR REMODELED APARTMENTS. THEN AFTER YOU GET YOUR MOVE-IN DATE AND DO A WALK THRU....ITS NOTHING LIKE THE MODEL THEY SHOWED YOU.

Water is off AGAIN for mainenance!!! No notice. AGAIN. It was supposed to be back up at 5:30....it's now 6:37 Read Moreand the office is closed! MY 5 YEAR OLD WANTS DINNER BUT I CAN'T COOK!!! I hope this doesn't take them 2 weeks like they did with my AC last month!!! Maintenance here is HORRIBLE!

If I could have broken my lease after 3 months of living here, I would have! I recently left and I am so happy Read More to no longer live there. As a single woman, I did not feel safe there. From time to time, there would be random people either sleeping in the hallways or hanging out/urinating at the side of my building. There was an "incident" that occurred in the complex (involving death) and the management team handled the situation VERY POORLY. The maintenance crew was unresponsive/slow to work orders and when they did come to the apartment, it took multiple trips before work orders were resolved. My neighbors were ridiculously loud and with paper thin walls, that makes for a horrible combination. Towards the end of my lease, I was also having rodent/roach issues (which were not completely resolved by the time I left) and that really concerned me, given that I lived on the top floor. All in all, you can find a much better living space for the amount of money Landmark Apartments charge.

If you come to see Landmark Apartments, formerly Cypress Creek, drive by and keep on driving. I moved in five Read Moreweeks ago. I sat on the floor and cried the day I moved in, there was so much wrong about the apartment. I sent a laundry list of things that needed to be fixed- things like missing electrical outlet plates, a bedroom door that swung in and out, it was so small for the door frame, and a front door that didn't close all the way. My dishwasher stopped draining two weeks ago and it's had standing water in it ever since. My dryer's been blowing hot, wet air into my unit for the last three weeks I've submitted online and called weekly to see the status and I'm just told "we'll get to it when we get to it." I submitted a written complaint to their parent company and will now have to contact the Hyattsville Department of Code Compliance.
It's a nightmare and not something any one should have to deal with. Keep on driving and find another place to call home.
