    There has been a change. Not necessary the best but the floors in the hallway are not as clean and the time between cleaning the staircases got longer.

    The reviews before 2016 relate to Suburban Hill Apartments. Quest Management group owns it now.

    The major problems here have nothing to do with the building. It is with SOME of the tenants. Quest Management group recently brought the building I live in so they will inherit any problems. My issue is we have a tenant who lives underneath that I have complained about and I am not the only one. He builds things. Woodwork is all I know. The noise drives you crazy. The first complaint was in 2017 by another tenant because of the hammering and banging 1 and 2 o'clock in the morning. An email went out, he stopped for a couple of weeks. My first complaint started last summer. In response to me complaining he moved his stuff to an area where I sleep. He would start about 10:30 at night along with different times at night during the week. I started wearing headphones at night to drown out the noise. Early one Sunday morning his stuff fell over and hit the floor. It sounded like someone kicking down my front door. He knew a complaint was coming. He sent a video of his apartment and denied any noise making or involvement. The video got there before I complained. I started making recordings as proof. They had hired a new lady and I told her. She got him to stop. Sadly, the lady is now gone. Fast forward, this past weekend, he started at 6 pm building and he kept going all weekend. Does he sleep? It starts with the sound being equal to dragging a chair across a wood floor not just once but multiple times throughout the day. Then you hear the hammering, banging, or him knocking over stuff. I emailed a representative at Quests main office and the local office called. I made a recording and sent it to the office Monday. He was quiet Monday. Tuesday, he started up again and it has not stopped. So, who is ignoring who?

    There is a quiet hour rule but some tenants ignore it and management has not enforced it when made aware.

    I have been living at Suburban Hill for 16 months and so far I like living here. The office staff is helpful and friendly. The maintenance request are taken care of promptly and the grounds are well kept. It is close to 2 bus lines which makes it convenient for those who use public transportation. I would definitely recommend anyone to move here for any looking for an apartment in the Silver Spring Area.
