I lived at Hewitt Gardens for ten years. Dealing with the property management was always a bit of a crapshoot there, with some really good managers (e.g. Bonnie) that genuinely wanted you to have a good time living at their complex, and some really terrible managers (e.g. Maira) that acted like they were running a children's day care rather than an apartment complex with adults, and were looking for ways to fine residents at every corner, even under false pretenses.Worth noting:This property has a tendency to completely reissue parking permits every couple of years. During my time at Hewitt Gardens, the management scrapped and replaced the parking permit system no fewer than four times, requiring removal and replacement of the old stickers. On more than one occasion, I was awakened by contractors without an escort from the property management standing in my apartment telling me that they were there to do work due to issues observed during routine quarterly inspections.Residents access the building with key fobs, but have no way to buzz visitors in, and have no access code to give to delivery personnel. Thus if you're getting a delivery from a major carrier (think UPS, FedEx, USPS), you're probably okay, but if your shipper is using a minor, forget it.It took a decade of complaining for the property management to get my air conditioning working. The air conditioner in my unit began to fail in summer 2008, and they didn't manage to properly repair it until summer 2017. When they did finally fix it, it was a simple fix.Key security is not this property's specialty, as they left their maintenance key in my apartment in June, and didn't realize it for more than two months. During that time, they never audited keys or otherwise verified that all the keys were in their possession.
