I spent 5 and a half years living at Mayfair in Putnam Village. The most surprising thing to me was how quiet it was, which I loved. I would work odd shifts and sleep at weird times for the first few years I lived there. Sleeping during the day was never a problem! I never heard my neighbors when they were in their apartments, only if they passed through the hallways. Mayfair does a great job of fostering a community atmosphere, and it does make a difference. The maintenance staff was phenomenal. Always would wave or say hello in passing, and the few times I needed a hand, they were quick to address the issue. I remember in 2015 when we had a horrid winter with blizzard after blizzard, my bedroom window had an ice dam. The windows starting dripping as the snow melted. I called the office and the maintenance staff was over almost immediately to check things out. My room and my living room were quickly re-painted to cover over the water stains. The crew always does a nice job with snow removal every winter as well. The office staff is amazing! Connie and Tia are beyond wonderful and I will miss them dearly! They are kind, courteous, helpful, and always cheerful. For example, my lease was about to be up, and I wanted to stay another 5-6 months instead of signing for another full year. I was getting married, but we hadn't set an exact date yet, as we were still looking at venues. These wonderful ladies worked with me and did the math to go over all my options. Just one of many examples of how truly awesome they are! I only gave 4 stars on the grounds because I felt the parking lot lighting could be improved. Not all the lights would work. The clubhouse could use some updating, but I'm sure that's on the list of things to be done.
