Professional in area was primarily utilizing apartment for place to rest/relax... this was a bad choice. Moved into my apartment that was "ready." Sink was flooding into basement, person came to fix and said it was good, yet I turned sink on and it was still flooding into basement. Soon after, A/C went out when it was >90 degrees outside (86 in apartment and rising). By Beacon management's own website, this is deemed a maintenance emergency in which someone HAS to come out to the apartment. I called, guy over phone said he wasn't coming out (and didn't). They attempted to refill the freon the following day, but there was a leak so this was short-lived. The following day they said they couldn't get a person in until 3-4 days later to fix it. The office manager did not provide any financial credit for an inhabitable apartment. She stated she would call me back the following day and never did. The office manager would not let me contact anyone beyond her.
The apartment itself has paper thin walls, and you can hear simple conversation through them. If your neighbor smokes good luck, they might as well be in your apartment blowing it in your face.
The office never fixed the issues with apartment that I put on initial Intake form which included a broken storm door which would slam open/shut when any type of wind outside all throughout night.
Tried to call the corporate offices, left multiple messages on voicemails about issues with no return call. I will be moving out at end of lease.
The office secretaries were always nice.
TL;DR, Terribly managed, poor quality for rent price demanded, Do not rent here, All words, no action business

Lived here for 10 years and the turn over of the staff is ridiculous. The townhome I'm in is SO out dated and the mantaince mess the townhome up more than fix it. The office staff just makes up new fees and rules when they feel like it. This place is not what it use to be.

My apartment needs some major updates to bathroom ( need new sink & shower , eg . Wall surface is coming apart) as I mentioned to office drag when moving-in! Basement Wall look terrible - water still leaking in from wall! The environment has become a Issue within recent years. Some residents are leaving their trash out in the parking lot in addition, leaving their trash bags out on their porch area instead of taking it to the dumpsters as we know Oak Park has had problems with Rats in the pas

I had good experiences at this apartment.it was well kept and the only issues I had was high gas bills because I stayed in a end unit which I found very drafty.

Grounds kept very well. Very close to police station which made me feel safe. Apartment was on the older side, but it had central air conditioning and was an extremely reasonable price!
