      Overall, the apartment complex is a nice area to live in. We have had issues with noisy neighbors, having made at least 6 noise complaints about the same people since we've moved in. The manager has issued letters of noise complaints, however nothing further has been done to resolve the issue. When a renovation is planned to be done or maintenance staff have to enter the apartment, we typically get a day or less notice which is hard to plan for.

      Current office staff are not helpful. The utility company that is used has a $25.00 late fee and are very difficult to contact directly. They also messed up billing when we changed apartments and it was not easy to get corrected.

      The rental office never exactly followed through on things when you would inquire about something. For example, there was a carport issue with another resident in our building. Their way of resolving it was just telling us 3 months later that the resident had moved out and that "the issue was now resolved". Also, their pet policy is so subjective that the office management just seemed to pick and choose who and what people should have.

      The leasing manager was always helpful and available with a pleasant demeanor. Maintenance was knowledgeable and often seen on the grounds making sure everything thing was working properly.

      I never had any issues with Catalina Shores while living in the apartment complex, although I did feel like I the value for the money was just fair. After moving out of the apartment complex, I recommended Catalina Shores to my boss and she had a very difficult time getting a hold of anyone in the office. She tried contacting them through email and phone with little luck. She ended up signing a lease with another local apartment complex.
