Ive had many issues here! This apartment complex has pretty nice staff but has a horrible infestation of spiders and insects. They dont pick up The phone at the office so you have to physically go to the office to complain. Literally was killing 2-3 insects or spiders a day! Weekly I would bleach the entire apartment since Im kind of ocd and that didnt help. I also went to the leasing office frequently and asked for an exterminator and it didnt help. Several times Spiders were pregnant when we killed them. I know super gross. Even with these gross issues rent continued to go up and no one helped with my issue. The apartment is pretty nice but with the bugs it makes it horrible which is why I moved out this year.

I can probably write a book on the amount of problems Ive had with this apartment complex and as much as you complain to the office the bare minimum will get done. I live on the second floor and my entire apartment ceiling creaks every time the guy above me walks. Literally EVERY ROOM. I go to sleep and wake up on his time. I have complained to him and the office numerous of times. Finally instead of putting me into a better unit they bought a whole machine to fix the problem. But all they did was fix his hallway floor to only benefit him because his floor was creaking there as well. For all of my troubles they gave me $100 off of my rent for one month. MY PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED. I have videos of how loud this apartment is when the man upstairs walk. I have a few months left here so Im not even about to complain again because the office nor management cares. For anymore moving into this place, if you look past all of the bad reviews like I did, at least go to the third floor. It will save you a lot of trouble trust me. Mine you this is not the only problem Ive had, this is just the worst problem. Worst apartment complex Ive ever lived in by far!

They are infested with bats. We had 4 separate bats come through the vents. Management had unqualified maintenance workers remove the animals and never called animal control. They did not correct the problem either.They lied and told us that it had been fixed but we could still hear bats scratching in the vents. They told us that we were being paranoid. We were promised an apartment in a different building but after persistently requesting it, we werent given anything. Management was always extremely difficult and unsympathetic. I ended up paying for an apartment that I couldnt stay in and when I finally got them to let me out of the lease there wasnt so much as an apology. This was the worst leasing experience Ive had in any apartment.

They never answer the phone at the office and when they do its as if youre bothering them. It has taken over 6 months to get a repair done in my bathroom related to my tub so I wouldnt have to put towels down when I take a shower and dont even think about getting in the tub to soak. Overall it has not been a pleasant experience.

I really liked The Lakes apartments, except the walls are paper thin!

Maintenance response is slow. Conditions of overall common grounds has declined resulting in trash and debri. I have been here for three years and was just notified of carpet cleaning and after being scheduled for an appointment no one ever showed. Ive been complaining to mgmt. about replacing the counter tops because they use a textured paint spray to cover old use and it is not user friendly it scrathes and peels while cleaning, I was told I would have to pay more rent for newer counter tops.
