Woodcrest Apartments - Southfield

Ive lived here for a several years now and I am currently looking to move. Management is none to be desired. The apartments lack everything. They are very, very dated and lack luster. They make repairs just enough to get you to sign a lease agreement. Afterwards the bandages comes off. If you need repairs you are better off making your own repairs but then you will be penalized for that! Although the description says no PETS! the residents have dogs and cats which they do not take care allowing the pets to roam freely and defecate without picking it up after them. There is a mold issue here. Management will tell you to take bleach to it (the mold) which does not work. Where theres mold walls need to be ripped out and replaced! Rotting wood which they will not replace. Old carpet which they clean only instead of replacing after a tenant moves. They raise the rent yearly to catch up with other communities, however, other communities are up to date and units are not dilapidated. The windows are old and very drafty does not hold your heat. Cold weather comes in all winter long. New doors were installed but the company that installed did a half job. The doors allow air and bugs to enter into your home. You will have a high heating bill because of poor insulation or lack thereof. The furnace is old as well as the thermostat. They will not allow you to use programmable ones. Also everything leaks here. The toilets constantly run which management has been made aware of for years. Dont get me started about the bathrooms! Or leaks in the ceilings or water stains in the ceilings. Or ground maintenance! ITS JUST NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY OR TIME UNLESS YOU ARE JUST DESPERATE! AND CANT DO BETTER! BUT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Woodcrest is absolutely the worst community to live in. All of the units are old, outdated, and have issues. Maintenance is terrible as well. My refrigerator went out almost a year ago, it took 2 months to get a replacement, and when I finally did it came with no door handles. I literally asking for handles consistently and just received them about 3 weeks ago, which is a YEAR LATER. My dryer was down and took 6 months for them to get fixed. I washed at a friends house during this time and was JUST fixed 3 weeks ago when I received the handles. Shortly after the washer went down, Suzanne in the leasing office does nothing and just makes excuses every time I call to check on the status of it being repaired. She is extremely rude and nasty. She lies all the time about what she's done to make efforts towards work orders and when you catch her in a lie... she goes on defense and gets even nastier. You can't get in touch with the property managers/owners regarding anything and have o deal solely with Suzanne, who is the absolute worst! I wish I could post the videos of our interactions to show how foul she is. Do not move here under any circumstances.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! This place is a piece of crap. Management office worker is RUDE! They change maintenance men every month because its TOO much to fix & everyone of them has quit. Apts are dated, they wont fix anything but continue to go up on your rent. TERRIBLE!

Management is poor cant talk corporate staff over leasing manager in office at all. No Maintenance or spring cleaning on property. Windows outside foggy. Just anybody coming into units to fix things randomly and I dont trust it. Hot water tank went out literally 5 times for days at a time and still havent been replaced. Car has been stolen three times luckily insured. Complex streets has wholes so large you can burst a tire before you get to the Main Street. Property manager opened my mail and posted on door with paper clip #illegal. Doors were replaced so bold that I have a whole where I can see sunlight on the side of my door and cause my energy bill to increase when using heat and air. The Intercom on wall to open door doesnt work. Pool havent been open for 5+ years and they use the excuse that the city has to come out and inspect instead of telling you that they just arent investing into the property.Just horrible. Okay

Outdated apartments with TERRIBLE management. Can't pay rent online, no drop box. Mail checks via USPS and hope it arrives on time, since there's no grace period. No way to contact property owners. Save yourself the headache, live somewhere else.

I wish you had online payments or the ability to pay at the office or with debit cards
