Royal Oaks Apartments

My daughter and I had a distressing experience during our visit to Royal Oaks. Upon our arrival, the leasing agent, Ann, greeted us with unwelcoming looks and responses, setting a negative tone for our tour. Despite my attempts to maintain respectfulness, Anns demeanor towards us felt demeaning, particularly in her treatment of my active 3-year-old daughter. Throughout the tour, Ann exhibited biased behavior, including glaring at my daughter and displaying derogatory facial expressions. Even in the elevator, she continued to show disdain towards my child, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Inside the apartment, Anns behavior persisted as she closely monitored my every move, criticizing my actions and insinuating incompetence. Despite her own disregard for apartment rules, Ann hypocritically insisted that we remove our shoes, further highlighting her disrespectful attitude. When confronted about her behavior, Ann showed no remorse or willingness to address the issue, and her manager failed to intervene or acknowledge our concerns. This experience left me deeply disturbed and disappointed. While the apartments themselves seemed appealing, the blatant racism and lack of empathy displayed by the management and staff make it clear that individuals of diverse backgrounds may not feel welcome or accepted at Royal Oaks. Its disheartening to witness such behavior in 2024, and I can only hope that the company reevaluates its policies and addresses the underlying issues of discrimination and mistreatment.

You'll come home to no warm water or water pressure.

You will get kicked to voicemail every time you try to call the office. Management will not take steps, let alone effective ones, to resolve issues. Maintenance will lack the capacity to fix issues. Whether coming home to multiple shopping carts littering the complex daily or still taking showers months later that consistently alternate from hot to cold while washing off after work, you will be told its not an emergency, theyve done all they can, or the most common - youll hear nothing.

View YOUR apartment before signing. We walked into an apartment that was clearly not ready. We had issues with everything from closet shelves not being attached to a washer that did not work so we could not unpack the majority of our items to settle. I have moved often over the last 10 due to job or life changes and have never walked into such a poorly prepared apartment. We would not recommend and would strongly advise you to view the apartment before you walk in to move in.

Good place to live. Little bit expensive... the employees in the lease office are very friendly... the manager is very good.
