Part 1 of 2First off I want to say the staff is very polite and helpful. I've been there a while now and the rent was reasonable for "what you were getting". However the last several years the rent has gone up 50 - 80 dollars every year supposedly based on other "competitive" rentals in the area. It's only saving grace was that it was pet friendly and water was included. Now not so much. They have contracted with a company in CA to divvy up the water bill. As the units are not individually metered being an older building, they have a "formula". The apartment takes/pays 5% off the top of the bill for the entire building (for the laundry rooms). The tenants pay the remaining balance based on occupants, square footage, # of bathrooms, etc. and you pay a percentage of the entire buildings bill based on this so-called formula. So if you are a single parent with only partial custody or someone in your building takes long showers or doesn't "have the leaky faucet(s) fixed" or has a toilet that runs you potentially pay more than you're actually using.Other cons:The windows have never been replaced and some are rotting and drafty.Garages have no power so there isn't even a light and the walls between garage units are terrible. Locks are cheap and need replacing often. The kitchen appliances have not been updated in a couple decades so none of them are energy efficient.A/C units are "window" units mounted through a wall, old, inefficient, and often can't cool the bedrooms.Recently because of bad tenants they are no longer "Cat Friendly".If you're showering and the neighbor flushes you're gonna get your biscuits burnt".No real amenities other than local parks.
