Heres the big one; have written confirmation that they received and recognize your 60 day move out notice. They hold you responsible for the next 2-3 months of rent after your move (even past your lease) unless you have written proof that they accepted your notice 60 days before. Make sure to ask for their Notice to Vacate form, complete it, get the managers signature on it, and ask for your own copy. Theyll try to keep the form from you unless youre really persistent, and try to deny you your own copy once signed. DONT back down when they do.

The apartment it self is good, the problem is the new management company, I'd you have a complaint about noise Read More or a whole bunch of kids hooping and hollering in breezeways nothing gets done about it. Not sound proof hear every thing. They have a sign that says we love our residents what joke they just love your money.

The apartment itself was extremely degraded by a previous tenant's smoking in the unit. When we attempted to Read Moremove to a different, recently renovated unit, there was very poor air quality. The vents were all full of built up dust and particulate matter (there was mold under the sink in the bathroom, which butted against the air vents).
Those issues aside, the staff in the front office was always very helpful and that aspect of things was quite positive.

The manager was very unprofessional and rude. The apt was dirty when I moved in and in need of repairs.

Poor response to maintenance issues i.e. have contacted management 5 times about broken closet door and it's s Read Moretill not fixed, furnace is from 1970 and has broken 3 times, mold in several rooms. Also security concerns, entrances to the building are not secure and we have people who do not live or have friends that live in the building hanging out in the entry area and smoking cigarettes.
