I don't think there is better value anywhere in downtown Kansas City. Great place to live, easy access to highway and streetcar, convenient to River Market and P&L. All that said, the best part of Walnut Tower is the management.They are always on top of everything, and they are understanding and accommodating to your needs as a tenant. Highly recommend this place!

Upon my final year there, they were doing renovations, and new staff came in. Rude and unorganized. Water shut off all the time and no one was accommodating to the needs of the residents who were still living there during the renovations.

The staff was unfriendly. Constantly had issues with the apartment and maintenance failed to respond and or fix the problem in a timely manner. My main issue is they were undergoing renovation and they allowed me break my lease but later tried to make me pay for a month that I wasn't even living there.

Elevator was out constantly, alot of old people(grandmothers) had to carry thier groceries up, some to the 12th floor. Construction began. workers show up smoking being loud at in the morning. management replaced central heating with individual wall mounted units, cut holes in the wall exposing apartments to december- febuary weather with nothing but a piece of drywall and plastic sheeting. Heat bill now increases rent by 150- 200 a month. Management said tenants could breakleasebut lied.
