Front office staff is pleasant and professional. Rent isn't terrible, but still a little high for lacking a fitness center (or contracted discount at the planet fitness up the street). The buildings are getting pretty old and interiors are outdated, but everything seems to work. The walls, floors, and ceilings are thin. You will hear the tenant above, below, or beside you walking around their apartment unless they tiptoe. You'll hear their washers, dryers, A/Cs, furnaces, showers and any barking. You'll probably also hear their TVs and any excited talking. The complex is their own ISP with no option for third party providers. The plans are overpriced for what you get. I've had items stolen from the mail boxes a few times. The current postal worker said it's a known here, though their keys haven't been changed and there are no cameras. I stopped getting items shipped by USPS. The external doors to all tenant buildings are not locked nor climate controlled, so entryways are more like "covered" than enclosed. Individual apartment door locks were recently changed to keypads with no physical key, but you can use your phone via wifi to unlock them. At the same time, the thermostats were updated to wifi connected ones with better programming options. Overall an ok place to live, not too far from trails going toward downtown or campus, close to Walmart, HyVee, and Super Saver as well as various fast food and other shopping. Also easy access to I-80 and not too far from downtown and campus by car. There is a steady amount of construction happening to the east, but unless you're in one of the most east units, you probably won't notice it. Just be careful on Folkways Blvd, people like to speed down it a lot, but it is a favored speed trap by LPD.

The staff is amazing and the apartments make you feel like you're "home". I knew the minute I walked into the first apartment that I was meant to be there!
