Theft, mold, staff, residents and the property itself. All problems.

Run of the mill, low budget apartments. Cars get broken into each weekend. Kids scream like bloody murder every day. Dog poop in all grass makes great fertilizer at least. Pool is full of kids without adults so you get to watch em bully the younger ones. Took forever to open the pool too. Office is closing early every week, package theft led to lockers that go down on the regular. Gotta look 3 times before crossing with how people speed through. Used to be a good place to live a few years ago. Now with the inside turmoil and development on 72nd st. It's just stress for too much money and too little maintainence.

I lived here for a year, and I would not recommend this place. I dealt with constant mold that caused headaches in my visitors, and when I would call in this issue, staff would be condescending. The root problem was never addressed, so the mold came back over and over, and it was in every room in the apartment. One particular instance, maintenance told me to take care of it myself. Eventually, after essentially begging them to do something about it for my health, they sent in "professionals" that were supposed to replace the affected drywall. Instead, they tore apart the floor boards and sprayed more bleach. The mold came back. I stopped calling it in because it just was not worth the headache, and instead took to dealing with it myself. The mold clearly had a root cause, and that was the constant humidity in that specific building. The doors were constantly fogged over, and the humidity inside was always higher than outside; I walked in and felt sticky, without fail. The laundry room was filled with even more mold. In the entire year I lived there, nothing was ever done about the humidity in that building. Besides the constant mold, it also was not the safest area. One particular night, there was a very loud and disruptive party, followed by a gunshot. The next morning, one of the cars in the parking lot had a shattered windshield. If the mold was not such a constant and pervasive issue, I would have had an average experience living here. Maintenance was usually responsive (except for the aforementioned mold experience) and took care of most issues promptly. The stairs are pretty gross and there's a constant smell, but that's pretty typical. Plenty of the staff is kind, but some were just so condescending and refused to understand why I would be concerned about mold in my home. Also, no bugs besides the occasional ant, which was nice. Overall, I would advise most people to look elsewhere.

We've encountered numerous issues with our apartment, the most pressing being a persistent water leak and subsequent mold growth. Despite multiple maintenance requests and assurances from the management team, the problem remains unresolved. Our master bedroom has flooded multiple times, damaging our belongings and posing health risks due to mold exposure. Even after tearing out affected areas, including carpet, drywall, and wood, mold persists along with the leak. Despite promises of action from the regional and property managers, no effective solutions have been implemented. Our repeated efforts to address these issues have been met with inadequate responses, leaving us frustrated and concerned for our well-being. We urge potential renters to carefully consider the management's responsiveness and the condition of the property before committing to a lease.

Literally paid rent online they waited 6 days to process it and when my other bills came out they said nope sorry nothing we can do and are charging me the late fee. Definitely should have waved it especially since they see that I paid it on the 3rd and literally have the money in my account Rn

Right near Askarben, reasonably priced, decent size apartments. The community is so kind and helpful & things are fixed in a timely manner. Couldn’t really ask for much more! If I had anything negative to say, it would be the parking availability is not fantastic, but a little cardio never killed nobody.. Thank you Spring Acres for being a perfect place to call home for my boyfriend, our cats & myself.

There’s so many reasons at this point why I don’t recommend this apartment complex, but the biggest being their complete lack of communication or care. So many maintenance issues have come up over the last 14 months of us living here and if they’re not “priorities” they don’t get fixed in a timely manner. Of course, I’m not sure why a hole in the ceiling or leaking pipes/faucets or a dead smoke detector wouldn’t be a priority but that’s beyond me. Then once they do notice, mind you it’s once in a blue moon, that something’s actually wrong, they’re incredibly horrid at communicating with their maintenance team and the time the office tells you something will get done is not the same time that the maintenance comes to do it. It’s really unfortunate because we still have 10 months left of our lease and I’d be hard pressed to believe anything different will happen if in 14 months it’s just been the same thing. Don’t waste your money here. Bonus edit: sometimes the water will even be out for an entire day and they won’t even tell you the reason! Isn’t that lovely? 😂👎🏻 Edit again, because people need to know: they allow residents to smoke cigarettes inside, and they have horrible ventilation so all of that smoke seeps into other apartments and they do not care. Have an important dress for a special occasion? Don’t store it in your apartment unless you want to smell like you smoke 3 packs a day! The property manager will not do anything about it and they think it’s okay to let people compromise other people’s living spaces. So thankful we only have 9 days left until we turn in the keys. Don’t waste your money here. The entire staff, from maintenance to leasing to the manager herself, are useless. Finale update: gave them a forwarding address when we moved so that if there were any final bills, they could send it to us. Gave them an address in Iowa, but somehow sent the bill to Illinois, because apparently reading is hard. When they didn’t see a payment from us, because they screwed up and we had no idea, they sent it to collections!!! Isn’t that lovely that they were the ones who messed up and now my fiancé and I have that on our credit score? Not to mention that our apartment flooded three times during our lease, effectively ruining the carpet, but we were charged for it and had to pay for numerous other things that the apartment should’ve taken care of but I guess turned into our responsibility. DO NOT LIVE HERE. They’re money hungry and they don’t care about their tenants!!!
