I've just recently moved out of CG only because of a new professional opportunity that required relocation, otherwise, I'd still be living there. I wanted to be sure I let anyone and everyone interested in CG know what a great place this is to live. Make an appointment and talk to the Regional Leasing Specialist, Allyse. She's simply wonderful. She'll answer all of your questions, no matter how many, and she'll ensure that your move in is easy. Once you're a tenant, Vinny is THE MAN! He takes care of anything and everything you might need in your unit. You ask once and it's done. I can't say enough about how amazing Vinny is but I'll say that I'm grateful he was there and everyone at CG is lucky to have him. I'd also like to say that I had wonderful neighbors, I enjoyed the neighborhood (the proximity to the city, shopping, transportation etc. is the best) and if I return to Jersey, I'll be back. Thank you to the entire staff for everything!

It's a shame I can't show you pictures, what a deal breaker that would be for you. I had to go purchase bug spray because management does very little to help. Centipedes the size of your hand, spiders when you kill the centipedes and even when you don't, parking is horrendous(don't be fooled), your neighbors are what you make of them, very old and creaky floors, very loud floors from second floor, mailbox area smells like a dead animal, and good luck sleeping if you move into our apartment. Not done. Pipes are very loud and the heater is disgusting, I don't even want to put my phone on it. I wondered if someone had literally moved out seconds before we had moved in. Neighbors are inconsiderate people who park in two spaces and you just have to try to not let it get to you as you circle around the block a few times for a space or park a couple blocks up. Mailbox area is nasty, bugs everywhere and idk if that was a waterbug or some massive cockroach but we have those inside the mailbox area and near the door. If you get two bedrooms, you'll have to install your own AC unit in the second bedroom. I am really suffering and so are my pockets from having to run the living room unit. I don't want to have to go and buy an ac AND a dehumidifier for the bugs when we're not going to be here for long. What a disappointment and waste of money, but we were able to get the apartment on short notice. No stars for that, you're just money to them.

I am a brand new resident and I just wanted to comment on my experience thus far. Apartment hunting is time consuming and stressful, and when I reached out to Continental Gardens expressing interest, I received a timely email from Allyse Nieves. She told me I could give her a call anytime, and I did, to explain that I work in the city and it's hard for me to see apartments during the day/week. She set-up an appointment for me to see the apartment on a Saturday. She was incredibly understanding and answered (my many) questions. I love the neighborhood, the conveniences of the location (next to NYC transportation - bus and train - shopping etc.), the grounds of the community is clearly well kept, and I happen to think the apartment is really nice. I was also told that all service request (which you can submit via email) are handled as quick as possible and emergencies are treated as such. In general, I feel as if the needs and concerns of residents are addressed and cared about. I was sold.Allyse processed my application right away and again accommodated me so that I could come sign my lease after work, do a final walk thru, and pick-up my keys before move-in day. I just want to let potential residents know that it is definitely worth your time to at least contact CG and work with Allyse. She is diligent, thorough and just an overall nice person. She made this experience for me as smooth as possible and I am beyond appreciative. Obviously, my experience is limited to pre-move but often what happens before you sign a lease is a huge part of what helps you to determine whether or not you want to live there. So no, I haven't experienced maintenance, or parking issues etc., but as new move-in, I'm thrilled with my decision and I think I'll be a happy Continental Gardens resident.

I'm a current resident at Continental Gardens who has been living here for 10 years. I have a family member who is also a resident. Lately their service has gotten worse. I recently had an issue with my refrigerator & it was replaced with an old dirty one. Parking after 8pm is terrible, you have to park at least 3 blocks away. The paint in my apt is chipping away & the tiles in the tub are constantly loose. My family member is having major issues with mold. In the building I reside at the apts downstairs are like a revolving door, Tenants coming & going. I have a new neighbor who moved into the apt below me who's a smoker & smokes in the apt. Smoke rises, so my apt & the hall is now smelling like cigarettes. I have called the office several times to complain because I'm allergic to smoke & I have a history of cancer but nothing has been done. I was told that a letter was sent to the tenant but what good is s letter if she hasn't stopped smoking in the apt. I've asked to be moved to another building but nothing has been done. Instead, they are willing to lose a good, responsible tenant.

The apartments are nice sizes and a little more affordable than the other apartment complexes in the area. There's constant improvement to the infrastructure and landscaping. My only complaint is how late in the year the heat gets turned on and there are significant gaps under my front and back doors so I am constantly killing centapedes and spiders that get into the apartment.
