The staff they have here is good, but they are understaffed! You can't walk any where without stepping in or just missing dog poo. Smaller kids can't really play outside because of it.

Knollwood Mayor's location makes it a fantastic place to live. Fairport Electric is just an added bonus. However, the quality of the tenants has declined significantly over the past year. I have my own theory for the reason for the decline but I don't want to speculate. As of late, newer tenants don't care about the quality of the place they live. They regularly disobey tenant policies and just don't seem to care about the other tenants they share facilities with.

Knollwood Manor has been a good place to live because of the attention the management has for improving the apartment community. Work in and around the complex happens often and the improvements are very positive.

The plumbing is very, very poor. Toilets don't flush. Doors to apartments units need repair and painting badly. Landscaping is very basic with many stumps and weeds left. Trash binds are emptied on a very limited basis. Apartment building entrances need painting and porches are drooping and in need of repair. Gutters are filled with weeds so that rains leave lakes when it rains. Windows are old and difficult to open. Windows are not double pane so it is very cold in the winter.

The laundry facilities require a cash prepaid card which often stops working and they don't reimburse you for monies lost; the maintenance people are poorly trained., ie, they put our main kitchen faucets on backwards twice (hot/cold reversed) when they were in need of repair; the rent is high for condition of apartments; carpets are cheap quality and coming apart at the seems.

Nice office staff, but I have had issues with my downstairs neighbors since day 1. Over the last 7 months, they have complained about noise at least 4 times to us. Once they said we had a loud machine that gets louder each night. It was keeping them up and they had to sleep in the living room. All we had was a fan. Nevermind our wall shakes when our next door neighbor blast their music... Anyway, at this point I am looking for a nicer place with a private entrance.
