We loved living in Union Square Apartments for the time we were there. Granted, there could have been improvements in communication coming from management, but overall the team was great. There's no thing such as perfection so again, little things here and there which if the team works to get better, I think there's practically not much to improve. The units (apartments) were in great shape, and the community was pretty much awesome (like 90% of the people - the ones who picked up their pets waste mostly :)). At the end, it would have been super nice to have the playground, and the pet park ready for some time, but I think there were still some delays, which couldn't let us enjoy these amenities. Hopefully the rest of the community will enjoy it soon. The one thing we definitively didn't like was the price hike on renewing. Our initial plan was to be there for 2 years (duration of my wife's program at RIT), and I believe we initially set a term of 15 months, so when we had to renew, the only available option for the other 9 was incredibly high. Our rent went from something like $1,385 to $1,685 i think. I think we could of been better advice at the beginning since we were pretty straightforward with our plans, and having that $200-$300 hike from one term to the other is not fair - especially given that we had our plans, and always paid in time.

The grounds always looks great. The pool and other amenities are an added bonus. I love the layout of my apt and the fact that I have a garage and can have a pet.

My time here was a temporary residence since I had a house fire in my primary residence. My lease was a little over a year in length. I enjoyed my time so much at this community. The property managers were so sweet and helpful. The top two bonus perks were the pool and the printer in the office.

The Staff is doing a great job. The only issues I have are with the design of the apartments. No storage space in the bathrooms, no drawers of medicine cabinets in either bathroom. The need for more cabinet space in the kitchen. The unit seems to be cold in the winter even with the heat at 7. We've never kept a home at 71.
