        I am a current resident and about to move. Initially I felt this community was the perfect choice in Burlington, NC but I quickly learned otherwise. The apartments are old so there are issues that arise with that. Unfortunately the management is also not so great. They are never in the office, which becomes an issue if you need something like packages or to pay a bill.

        weeds growing from gutters; rotten siding on many buildings; I pay for water but must leave the faucets dripping in cold weather because the insulation is so poor; very loud a/c compressor that wakes me at night; inadequate venting in the bedrooms so they stay much warmer than the main living area in the summer; onerous lease terms with no break clause even if you die; bathrooms were retrofitted for ADA compliance & I lost the only drawers in the bathroom & most of the storage space

        Overall rating that I have heard from many from the Chase are as follows: very cheap materials used in the construction of upgrades.. rent way to high for what the quality of construction.

        The Chase is a good community in which to live. The management staff is quite responsive and listens to resident's concerns. I do not like that smoking is allowed in all buildings/apartments, balconies and breeze ways. Also, dogs are allowed and the owners do not clean up after their pets. Some of the dogs are large. I believe the Chase should consider designating some apartment/buildings as smoke free and pet free.
