I truly wish I could give this place a glowing review. The location is sublime - you are truly surrounded by nature and the fully screened porch allows you to capitalize on that day and night. I wish I could give a glowing review, but I cannot. Simply put, this place is managed so horribly that it is an asolute nightmare to live here. If any of these apply to you, I would avoid this place like the plague: 1) You look forward to enjoying any of the amenities. -This year, management hiked everyone's rent just a month or so before announcing that the main office would be undergoing remodeling and the *pool, grill area, gym, and picnic area* would all be closed for the next year. The grill and picnic area were moved, but the best they offered for the pool or gym were temporary passes (15 days per month) to local spots that we had to front the cost of before they 'reimbursed' us. Totally inequitable offerings as not every tenant has the same availability to travel or front costs. They are making us pay MORE for LESS than what we originally signed on for. 2) You enjoy being engaged in your community whether for fun or activism. -A group of tenants formed a Tenant Council to address inconsistencies with communication between Management and Tenants. We asked management to be a part of the council because we actively wanted their input. We were told "It's nice y'all found some comradery but we will only talk to you individually". The tenants have only tried to work with them, the office has actively tried to squash any and all efforts to organize as a community. 3) You're a responsible pet owner who prefers walking safely on a sidewalk over muddy and dark trails. -We have *literally* received a note saying that anyone who allows their pet to walk in the grass next to the sidewalks will "have their pet removed". This is verbatim, I still have the letter. If we are breaking the lease by allowing animals to walk on grass then it needs to be communicated as 'You're breaking the lease and there may be consequences such as eviction' NOT the incredibly alarming sentence to read of 'your pets will be removed'. 4) You like sleep and/or you work from home. -There will be a minimum of three people with leafblowers and/or lawn mowers out at 9AM *sharp* every. single. day. This is not an exaggeration. Every one of my neighbors are driven just as mad as I am. It is an unbelievable waste of money, is incredibly harmful to the local environment, and *regularly* exceeds city noise ordinance levels. 5) You appreciate candor and effective communication. -The office regularly resorts to leaving notes on doors at inconvenient times which makes communication with them very difficult. I have called with an issue, been told to wait for a call back, and then found a letter with their response on my door hours after not receiving a call. Sandra will occasionally step in if the issue grows so large that an office worker can't handle it, but be measured with your optimism that issues will be resolved efficiently. 6) You value security and safety in your community. -We've been here for 2.5 years. The community has asked for more street lighting and cameras in the parking lot since I got here. We've had at *least* FIVE catalytic converters stolen from cars in our lot. We've yet to see any new lights, cameras, or any other form of security. There is video and/or text evidence for every single one of these claims. As a resident of this place I urge anyone potentially looking here to instead look elsewhere.

Actually didn’t get the opportunity to live here but the staff that helped us was amazing, specifically Mackenzie (idk if that’s spelled right)
Joshua Clemons - 5/5 stars based on undefined reviewsSeptember 14, 2023
My apartment is beautiful, the maintenance staff is so responsive (both times I needed help it was the same day!) the grounds keeping crew does a fantastic job making the property beautiful with flowers and trees. The proper staff even gave me a very nice welcoming bag with treats for my dog, dish soap, hand soaps at my sink and trash bags. I felt like I was staying at an Airbnb! My views are incredible and I can see the lake from my screened in porch. I saw a complaint from a resident that the pool was closed which is true but it was for electrical reason and needed repairs. The other amenities of a tennis court, pickle ball court, grills, dog park and basketball all remain open. I stayed at very high end apartments and none of them had a tennis court or grounds that were as beautiful as here. It is a real gem and I feel lucky to live here. The cost is also very low compared to other apartments in the triangle area. I would challenge that one unhappy resident who was upset by the pool to find an alternative apartment on a lake with rent this low. It can’t be done. I am excited for the new renovations and can’t wait to see how beautiful the new clubhouse and workout room will be!

I am extremely disappointed at WW. All the recent comments in this page about lacking of amenities and unfair increases in rent are absolutely true!!! Do yourself a favor. Look for somewhere else to live. There are plenty of great options that will offer you new apartments and great amenities for the same price or cheaper.

There are many positive things about Wildwoods and I would love to give a 5 star review, but they have truly not met my expectations with the amenities I was told they had when I applied. The pool is closed for this entire year and the workout facility as well. As soon as the weather warmed up, I was so eager to use the pool, meet my neighbors after my first winter here, only to be told week after week that it would soon open and eventually told it would not open this year. It was incredibly disappointing and we were not offered any reimbursement for this loss. I was told that I could get a pool pass to the local pool, however, this is not an equitable solution for me because I would have to drive there, would not be with my own neighbors and would likely be surrounded by young children. Not at all what I paid for. My understanding, also, is that many neighbors whose lease renewal came up were given significant rate hikes, even though these very important amenities were lacking and many people rented and were not told of this lack. Everything the corporate/owners have done is within legal bounds, ethical bounds - not so much. Tenants here are generally pretty unhappy with the state of affairs including significant rate increases while important amenities were eliminated this summer. The owners have not listened or seemed to be concerned about providing fair compensation for these losses. Pros - I love being on the lake, the maintenance has been excellent thus far, I have appreciated the staff, I personally love my apartment.

Maintenance was excellent. The location was great. Screened in porches definitely a plus. Won’t continue a lease- Value doesn’t meet the increase in rent. Plus, the amenities weren’t available the entire time of my lease. One excuse after another and not one staff member took time to try to make up for the problem. Ask questions and approach with caution.

Period. It does not matter the circumstances you find yourself in, it does not matter how/when/what you ask them. If they have already decided on something, they will simply refuse to hear you out sometimes - they have literally stopped me at the door to the office and said "The answer is still no, there's nothing to talk about". They have told us they would call us back on issues and then instead snuck to our front door and posted a letter response. 6) You value security and safety in your community. -We've been here for 2.5 years. The community has asked for more street lighting and cameras in the parking lot since I got here. We've had at *least* FIVE catalytic converters stolen from cars in our lot. Great place to live! Love how maintenance techs are fast to fix anything, the staff in the office are very friendly! The grounds are kept up daily! The gym, pool, and trails are amazing ! Our apartment backs up to the start of a trail and the view and access is perfect for us and our baby dog. Really appreciate that the property is always working on the property to make it like new!

Super place to live. Competitive rates. Roomy apartments. Surrounded by nature and of course the lake. The residents are very neighborly and friendly. Love this place.
Clay MacCormac - 5/5 stars based on undefined reviewsJuly 03, 2017
I lived here for 4 years and I would never have moved if I hadn't moved into a house. Best maintenance guys, best office gals, good pricing on the apartments. Loved the location on the lake with tons of trails onto the main trail. Loved my screened in porch with the French doors I could open. I did wish there was more exterior safety lighting because it was really hard to see at night when walking the dog or parking the car once the striping faded. If that's my only complaint though, I would say anyone would be happy to live here. I actually wanted to move back, but nothing was available. Sad for me, but awesome for them.
