Many Beavercreek residents work at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, one of the largest employers in the state. The base serves as the headquarters for the Air Force Materiel Command, which conducts research, development, testing and evaluation, as well as providing acquisition management services and logistics support for Air Force weapons systems.

Oil well drilling equipment manufacturer Robbins and Myers, one of the largest companies in the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area, has a presence in Beavercreek. The Beavercreek Popcorn Festival is the city's most renowned event. Held annually the weekend after Labor Day, the festival features more than 200 booths that offer popcorn-related foods and wares. A car show held in conjunction with the festival is both an invitational and open class event.
