After living at Latitude 525 for 4 months- and giving it more than a fair shot- I'll be breaking my lease and moving out. The staff is no help, calls and emails go unanswered, and problems are overlooked and mostly completely ignored. The elevators are a hazard, but are broken a lot of the time anyway. General maintenance and cleanliness of the common areas seems to be of no priority. Any useful information goes unmentioned during the leasing process, like how to do your laundry, for example. I had lived here for three weeks before anyone mentioned you need a key-fob to get into the building. That is, when the door is not broken, or left wide open. Both towers are infested with cockroaches, a detail they convienantly leave out during the tour. And in the 4 months I've been here, I've caught at minimum one mouse per week. Bedbugs are also a huge problem in the west tower. The stairwells are...gross... at best, but they are easily enough avoided... oh wait, they SHOULD be easily enough avoided, but as I mentioned before, the elevators are always broken. The free basic cable is not free at all, it's billed to you every month. And mine never has worked. As I'm writing this, on December 29th, it is 84 degrees in my apartment- and I'm sweating. But the temp cannot be controlled. The package "service" they boast of on their website is more of a nuisance than convenience. All the packages are taken to the office and thrown in piles. No notification is given that you have had a package delivered- so if you are expecting something, you have to be diligent in tracking it. I could go on and on and on... and on ... about the downsides to living here, but as I'm running out of characters for my review.... I will mention one positive thing. Because that's all I can think of. The people. The folks that live here are for the most part super nice and welcoming. There is also a barber shop on the main floor, which is a great perk for the fellas.
