I have been living here for about a year. At first I was happy to get into this place because it had always been really nice. But it has been downhill since. The first nine months was spent trying to get maintenance to fix the leaking toilet because it had been installed incorrectly. It was a good half inch off the floor because they had recently renovated the floor. Was finally fixed when the maintenance turned over its staff for the third time!
We live right by the river and often got large cockroaches in our apartment because the renovations done to our kitchen, by the same people who did the bathroom, left huge holes in the wall behind our cabinets. The pest control company they work with is very unprofessional, constantly complaining that it isn't 'really cockroaches, just water bugs'. I confronted the pest control about it, then receive a letter from the property manager telling me that the pest control reported that we were leaving food out and that we lived in 'unsanitary conditions'. WHAT A JOKE!! I have never left food out around my apartment and strive to keep it clean. Despite photo evidence to the contrary the property and their staff refused to apologize for the rude letter.
There has only been one security issue in a year. Noise issues but really not that bad. The location is nice and convenient. Your water and gas is included, there are dumpsters on property, you have to pay for electricity. Just recently they are raising our rent 50$ a month. There is no A/C but for a 100$ you can rent a window unit. You can rent a garage, which I would recommend since parking is kind of a nightmare. You receive a parking pass but it's not like it matters since people without them park on the street and in parking spots.
If it were 150$ cheaper it would receive five stars. To really explain this our rent should be 740$ a month without our other bills, as reported on this site, but our rent is 800$ a month and going up in August to 880$.
