Carriage Hill

I had a really good experience during my time at Carriage Hill Apartments. The day we visited the complex, we saw the model apartment and signed a lease the same day. When I got home, I checked reviews and they were really bad and I was very nervous. The hallway/entrance to my apartment was kind of gross looking and had a bit of a smell which furthered my apprehensions. Luckily, when I moved into my apartment they had brand new carpets which was nice because everything was really clean. They were brown which was not my style preference but I LOVED them because they were really easy to keep clean. The apartment was spacious and really nice. I also had a ground level apartment with screen doors looking directly out at the pool so it was not only a good view, easy access for swimming, but it was also effortless to let my dog go outside (not to mention I didn't have to go up any stairs to get to my apartment). What really surprised me was how nice all of my neighbors kept their patios. One of my neighbors had a pretty garden and some nice outdoor lights and chairs. In October, the office even had a pet costume contest which was really fun. The location is also good. It is over by Pyramid Hill and is less than five minutes from Miami Hamilton which is nice for students. It is also close to shopping on West Side and a reasonable drive from Cincinnati. While I moved out a year ago, and things might be different now, the experience I had while there was excellent. I will say that when I was leaving Carriage Hill, they had started the process of updating the apartments so the units might be even nicer now.

Seems to be a lot of problems, and all the management gives is an auto response from a bot, poor showing....I will write this one off.

I had roaches in my apartment and bedbugs and I didnt bring them. I only stayed a month and pest control came every week but told me they couldnt get rid of anything because we didnt leave the apartment because I work from home and didnt have a car but that was still no excuse they could of moved me to another apartment but didnt so I just moved out the last day of the month and put the keys in the lock box and told them I left.

These apartments are awful. The smell is constant- especially in the hallways and laundry rooms. The laundry rooms look and smell like something out of a horror movie. The machines overflow often; we had our kitchen flood with mold and other unidentifiable scum due to this. There is garbage everywhere and vultures who frequent the dumpsters- which are in the middle of the parking lot and reek. Everything in the apartment is cheaply made. Our walls, baseboards, window sills, etc. were covered in dirt upon arrival. The patio screen door was broken when we got here. The patio itself was covered in cigarettes and falling apart. The thermostat was perhaps the most maddening part of the entire place- it did not work and we spent far too much of our stay miserably uncomfortable. At one point, only one of our stove top burners worked. The drains were clogged when we arrived. You have to pay an extra fee to pay your overpriced rent online. Our rent ended up being about $200 more than they claimed it would be. There is no overhead lighting in the apartment. The water heater broke at one point and they left us with ice cold water for a week. This place is a joke. The only good thing I have to say about it is the speed at which maintenance would address the never-ending problems with this place. That said, many of them should not have been present to begin with.

I've been paying 1000 to 1500 a month for a 1 bed room when I have friends with 4 bedroom houses paying less this makes no sense..I have a newborn baby and constantly breaking my neck to make thousands just to live here and on top of that rent keeps going up ...living here takes a toll on your pockets for sure

Driveways are horrible, advertising 3 pools. Only one pool ever came close to working. Was promised for 2yrs it will be fixed. For the price I found a much nicer place to go.
