Rossford, Ohio, lies at the heart of the Midwest's crossroads, at the intersection of Interstate 75 and the Ohio Turnpike. This family-oriented town is on the banks of the Maumee River and is just six miles south of Toledo. It has more than 6,000 residents and is in close proximity to the country's industrial giants. Rossford was founded by Edward Ford of the Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Co. The company was built in the area in 1898, and Rossford was incorporated as a village in 1939. It became a city in 1971. The glass company founders said the area offered three advantages to developing there, "Location, location, location," and Rossford continues to be highly regarded for its perfect locale. It attracts many families, and is the perfect place to raise children because of its parks, a good school system, and athletic center.

Rossford maintains three parks that offer sports fields, areas to fish, walking trails, exercise stations, and picnic areas. Residents socialize and stay fit at the Rossford Community Recreation Center, which offers a state-of-the-art fitness room and a fitness studio that hosts group workouts and personal training. The Rossford Exempted Village Schools serves more than 2,000 students and tailors the school day to every student with its gifted and special needs programs. The Rossford Community Service League hosts many family-oriented activities such as a Valentine's Day dance, Easter egg hunt, and parades.
