    Id like to start by saying I dont frequently review apartments and Im not usually critical. However, my experience here was by far the worst Ive had as a renter. Heres a few things you can expect living at the Rosemont Plaza: The busiest, loudest intersection on the Main Line. The traffic outside the apartment is extremely heavy during rush hour, making it impossible to turn into the building. Prepare to wake up each day to the sounds of honking horns and good luck trying to turn in/out of the apartment at peak times. Very poor insulation the walls and windows are so poorly insulated you can hear a conversation going on in the parking lot even from the higher floors and all your neighbors. Theres no privacy. No central air or heating. Each apartment in Rosemont Plaza has a wall unit that only has heat in the winter months and cool air in the summer. Theres no temperature controls, and if its an unseasonably warm day from November-April, theres no way to cool down the apartment and the air becomes very dry. Construction. During my time here, the construction was frequent on my floor to retrofit existing units. This was very loud and disruptive. Water was turned off often. Theres no getting around the buildings structural frame is very old and the renovations dont mask more fundamental problems with the AC, plumbing, insulation, and air quality. Inflexible lease terms I had to switch to a month-to-month lease because I wasnt sure when I would need to move. This came with both a rate hike, which is pretty typical, and the stipulation that I had to give 90 days notice to move. Why are you paying a premium for a month-to-month lease if it doesnt give you the flexibility to move? Ive never encountered this before in any apartment contract.

    pros: friendly personnel, generally quick response to maintenance request, close to train station, park right cross street, Ashbridge playground nearby which is good for kids, walking distance to CVS, sushi, pizza and frozen yogurt, cheap and fast internet/TV as compared to Fios/Comcast. cons: low room height, the giant central air unit can be noisy at summer, walking along/across US 30 is a little scary due to the traffic and narrow sidewalk, which cancels out a lot of the walking benefit.

    They have awesome maintenance staff. During snow, it is nice of them to clean the snow between cars. Very friendly atmosphere and have spacious apartments .

    The Plaza is right across the street from the Rosemont Septa station, which makes commuting into Philadelphia a breeze. The Main Line is definitely an expensive area to live, and what we pay for the Plaza was more than the budget we had set down for ourselves; however, the location and the included utilities make this a great value. I do wish the pool membership was a little less expensive and that there was a gym on site. Maintenance/office staff are awesome, and the building is in great shape.
