Been living here for just a few weeks now and it's awful! I shouldn't have ignored the reviews I read prior. I Read More'm a pretty easy going person, but this place definitely tests my patience. My washer/dryer unit has been broken for over a week and no one has fixed it or replaced it. Have they followed up? Nope. When you move in you pay almost $200 a month for a fixed rate for utilities, yet your utilities are broken.Also there's been multiple times I've pulled into my complex and no one is working the gate and a line of cars waiting to be let in. After a long day at work, waiting even longer to pull into your home gets a little old. Also they dont even check guests or people pulling in, so pretty much anyone can come in.safety? yes there's a concierge in all buildings, for 4 hours weekdays who disappears to hangout outside for about 2 of those hours. I was told there's someone there 24-hours a day, that's not the case. The 1st floor to the buildings or garage level in others, are unlocked at all times. Maybe it's a security "breach" for me posting this, so do something about it and lock the doors, especially when your gate workers dont stop anybody from pulling in.forget the 24 hour emergency maintenance and concierge number, no one answers when its past 10PM. Moving in, there isnt a freight elevator like they mention to you during your tour, it's the stand elevators you take up to your apt. You can only reserve for 3 hours. Be careful ordering big furniture that wont fit, mine JUST made it, the movers always had to tell me they couldnt do it. I've also heard a few other people had to return theirs because it didnt fit.It's a shame, my apartment is beautiful, but cheaply made and i wish management would take these reviews seriously and step it up.

Worst place ever! Make sure you have plenty of blankets as we did not have heat from January to March. Concier Read Morege was never in our building and it took days to get packages. Finally read your lease carefully; a lot of the language states details are up to discretion but that means they are not honoring that side of the agreement.

The best place within a 10 mile radius when it comes to physical features.The worst when it comes to managemen Read Moret team. The one lady who is supposed to help you with most of the things is the worst. Almost everything has to go through her, and yet That one lady would reply your email only when she feels like it, which is once a week. She would also tell the concierge to tell you she is not in the office or not available when she doesn't want to take a look on your issue.Just don't move there, or I think you would regret that only because of her, because I did.She made all my good feelings about that place went away, because the way she treat you would make you feel you work for her by paying her that expensive rent and you should only appear when she needs someone to blame.

My wife and I stayed in 251 DeKalb for almost one year and finally decided to end our lease. The apartment has Read More a great looking but after few weeks staying, several problems started coming out: First, the walls were thin (really thin!!!). We could hear next doors conversation clearly. Plus, our unit was on the PH floor, the AC fans above us were super annoying. Second, the washer and dryer in the unit was useless. The drying feature was not working at all. It took at least FIVE hours to run a w/d cycle, and the clothes were still wet. Therefore, we had to collect an entire week of dirty clothes and spend extra dollars to use the washer and dryer in the basement (At least $5 per wash/dry). Third, the staff at the front were nice and friendly (but just the front). I would only give a two stars rating to the management of the property. During our stay, the building had several times of water and power outages. One of the outages took up to TWO DAYs. Also, we had three times of false fire alert in one month. Fourth, the apartment charged a fixed rate of utility fee. But base on our usage, we could never spend as much as we pay. Also, the parking for the building was extremely difficult!!! Since the parking was first come first serve, it was impossible to find any space after 5 p.m. Last, (most important for the pet owners!!!), there were a lot of ticks on the grass. During the summer, we found a least one tick on our dogs or us almost every time we went for a dog walk. We did complain this problem to the building, but the situation did not get any improvement. Therefore, I suggest you read this through carefully and reconsider the decision of being a tenant in 251 DeKalb.
