I lived there for a over a decade, in the apartments and one of the townhouses. It was nice, better than most places in Monroeville. Until my cat died. She was evidently keeping the mice away. Mice in the kitchen, mice in the bathroom when you had to use it in the middle of the night, mice in the shower when you pulled the shower curtain back in the morning. They sent in an exterminator and laid sticky traps everywhere - that we constantly stepped on - and which never caught a single mouse over the next two months. Finally, when I sat down next to a mouse on the couch, I gave them two months notice while I looked for a new place. I left in the beginning of April paid up thru June 1 and the office said fine but they would keep my security deposit. Okay. In the the fall I was sent to collections for an additional month rent/early termination fee minus my security deposit. I disputed it with the collections company and sent them my mice photos. That collection company stopped collections and dropped it from my credit report. Today I got a notice on my credit report - two years later - it was sent again to a collection company. I was told that the debt was not bought from the other, that means Monroeville Apartments initiated it again, which is the cause of this review. They were given two months to fix the problem, at almost $900 a month for a 450sq ft one bedroom you would think they would be eager to keep tenants. Evidently not. If you need to stay in the area try Marquis Place in nearby Murrysville.

When I moved out my vacuum broke and I could not clean my whole apartment and left the vacuum in there to show it was broken so they didn't charge me for not cleaning and they still charged me 500 dollars. One of the office ladies can be very rude as well I refused to go in if I knew she was there.
