    Everything constantly breaks, maintenance only puts a bandaid, never actually truly fixed the problem. The HVAC system breaks everytime the switch it to heat or cold. They wouldnt believe me and I had to sleep on my living room floor because it was SO hot in my bedroom. Apartment and hallways constantly smell like weed, walls are paper thin. Forget ever having a moment of peace. Management is rude and puts the problems back on you to resolve yourself. I regret living here and cannot wait to move.

    This is the worst apartment I have EVER been in. Water falls form the ceiling every month from broken pipes. Maintenance does not come and fix appliances that are broken. It takes 2-4 months for things to get fixed. Heat was broken for most of winter with no running water. Management told me to bundle up and find somewhere to use the bathroom. Management has not a care in the world for their residents. Rude and unprofessional employees!!! Paying over a thousand dollars a month to live in an inhabitable apartment. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!

    I've lived all around Pittsburgh and this is the only negative review I've ever written about an apartment or landlord.About 30 days ago I called maintenance about a small leak in my ceiling. 30 days since and the apartment is continuing to deteriorate with multiple new leaks, some of which are currently dripping water into my bed. During the last month I have multiple times woken up drenched in dirty, grainy, discolored puddles of rainwater. The ceiling has turned orange/brown with staining from the rain and (what I can only hope is) rust trickling down from the roof. The ceiling and walls have begun giving off a pungent musty odor that wafts into the hallway and sticks on my clothes throughout the day. The conditions here prevent any sort of quality sleep. During this time, the landlord, Faros, has refused to budge on rent, forcing me to pay up at full price even though it's been nearly impossible to stay in Park View for more than a few hours at a time.As of this writing, the only real action they've taken is to paint over the horrid stains. Some of which have immediately come back due to the actual leaks remaining. The smell is just getting worse.After living here for over a year, it's clear that Faros is more than happy to paint over its deteriorating building while collecting rental fees, even at the cost of their tenants' quality of life. Don't be fooled by the shiny marketing tactics employed by Faros and Park View. If you have any other options, I urge you to look elsewhere.

    Please beware when signing a lease with Faros at any of their properties. They are terrible people and a poison to our city. They look nice from the outside but heed the advice of reviews and talk to current and former tenants. They changed our lease agreement conveniently when it was time for us to buy our our lease when we bought a home. We agreed to pay a certain amount and they doubled it without telling anyone. It was a change in policy that no one knew aboutthis conveniently happened to many other tenants we spoke with. Their staff is generall rude and hard to work with. I found some other reviews recently giving the advice to have your lease looked over by an attorney and I strongly agree. Weve never had issues like this with a management company and we have lived in Pittsburgh for more than 10 years. I would be happy to talk with anyone about my experience if you think you might sign a lease with them. They are cheap apartments with a high price tag. They do not do proper repairs when needed. Terrible all around. I have nothing good to say. Please listen to reviews.

    My husband and I lived in this apartment complex from Summer 2016 to Fall 2017. At first, we were very pleased. Then little things began to bother us. There are washing machines and dryers on each floor, but using them was expensive. The outdoor patio spaces look wonderful, but when we tried to use the gas grill in the middle of summer, we had to try several different ones before we found one that worked. Our neighbors regularly yelled at each other in the hallway late at night, and management apparently never took stronger action then sending a series of employees to talk to them. All these things were minor, but they became more problematic when management told us that our rent would be raised by around 7.2% for the next years contract. After signing the new contract, we began to consider moving, and clarified with management the fee to break the contract (1 months rent). We continued our search, found a house, and began the process to break our contract. We then discovered that management had doubled the fee two days prior. Although it was legal for them to do this, they never informed us in any apparent way that this was happening. We met with the complex manager, who was condescending and acted like they had done us a favor by having such relatively cheap fees. Apparently it never occurred to her that were not charity recipients; we patronized their business because of the cheap fees, which they had just doubled without warning. I talked to her boss and requested that they honor the fee that was originally in the addendum; my request was refused. Thankfully, we were in a financial position to actually purchase the house, despite the fee increase; someone else might not have been so fortunate. Although I realize that Park View management did nothing illegal, I believe that they were unprofessional and showed poor business skills. I cannot recommend Park View as a place to live; convenient location, nice views, but simply not worth the money or hassle.
