This place tried to steal my deposit they put a eviction notice on me when my rent was paid then admitted they was wrong and tried to make me double pay still living here was a bad experience all around wouldnt recommend to anyone.

I reached out through Rent.com to find out more information and availability from Gatewood Apartments and I never got any response from them. I'm very disappointed in the lack of communication.

This happened to me 6 years ago. I was NEVER late and never missed a payment the whole time I was at Gatewood. When I decided to leave because rent kept climbing, I was asked several times to reconsider. I said thanks but no thanks, so I was told that I was okay and everything was settled after turning in the required notice to move. Two months later I get a collection call that said otherwise because apparently I went a couple days into the new month while cleaning out the apartment. I went back to Gatewood to confront them about it and asked why no one said anything when I turned the keys over or why I was never contacted by them. They didn't really have an answer for me. Told me it was an error and that it would be resolved. Well it never was. Read your contract and conduct yourself by that because whatever they tell you in the office will be suspect. Not to mention, I would always get a renewal notice "after" the renewal date has come and gone.

Rent increases every year not a plus and the late fee is ridiculous, parking is too limited on the pool side of the complex, there should be a full shelf in the laundry room not only a small corner shelf, hanging space in the master closet is too limited though the shelving is great, cabinets seem to be low quality, office staff and maintenance staff are great though some repairs have to be repeated time and again, storage closet gets water in it
