(3 year resident) The past several months with the new management, Tye has put an entirely new outlook on this complex. She is the first manager to actually answer the office phone, but beyond that-she ACTS on resident requests immediately. She is active in the community, shows genuine care and respect for her residents, and it shows. I cannot say enough good about her. Its about time DLH found someone cut-out for the job, because Ashland Commons was not headed in a good direction prior to. Reynolds (head of maintenance) is reliable, hardworking, and another backbone of the complex as well. These two make an incredible team.

The apartment is good and comfortable. The management response to any remark is fast and courteous and the team responsible for maintenance is quick and efficient. The general ambience is better than average. The negative aspect of Ashland Commons is lack of a fitness center.

Staff is very helpful and communicates well with the residents. Residents for the most part are very friendly. You have the feel of family because it is not a large community. A lot of improvements have been done since the new company has taken over.
