Riverview Grande was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with an apartment complex, a complete nightmare scenario. When we first moved in, the apartment we were renting wasn't immediately available upon move-in so they crammed us into a smaller one for a discounted rent for a month. When we finally moved in to the big one, the apartment looked completely different than the one they had shown us, and it was completely filthy! There was a layer of dusty film coating the floors, the bathrooms were dirty, scratches and dings were all over the walls and I found a ball of hair down the shower drain that wasn't mine, as I am not blonde. There were constant maintenance upgrades being performed on the building we were staying in. Sometimes we were warned, but most of the time we weren't. There was one time when I had been sleeping and I woke up to a strange man standing in my room, who claimed he'd knocked first. The maintenance updates weren't a once every few months thing. At their most infrequent, they came in at least once or twice a month, and there was a period where they were in there almost every day adding fixtures to the kitchen and master bedroom. They had even broken one of our kitchen cabinets and had stuck it precariously back on. We were sitting in the living room and it fell, smashing one of my dishes. They repainted the apartment while we were still in it, both outside and in. They sprayed paint all over our plants and chairs outside and ruined some of my clothes when they repainted the closet. A year later, I receive this notice from a creditor saying that I have almost a thousand dollars that I owe I'm move-out fees from this company. An entire. Year. Later. How can they charge you nearly an entire grand for moving out when the apartment was a complete filth box when we moved into it?Save yourself some misery and don't live here.
