Apartment was not ready at time of move in: dish washer leaked, covers for two lights were missing, one entire light fixture was missing, air conditioning unit was missing pieces that allowed the condensation to be correctly drained, and building was not properly treated for pests (we had to call an additional pest control service to set traps and spray for brown recluse spiders [we caught/killed at least 5]). Concerns were often dismissed by office staff and maintenance was perpetually slow.

The staff are helpful and friendly, the location is perfect! The apartments have a historical feel with mondern touches. The streets can get noisy on the weekend. Lots of natural light comes in.

The building is quite clearly unfinished. There are constant animal accidents within the building making both the odor and getting on and off of the elevators a nuisance. Also the parking company doesn't do much to keep an eye on the parking situation. The handicap spots are always taken by non-handicap drivers and there seem to be constant problems with the gates. This all seems to be more of a management issue. I have no complaints with the office/maintenance staff that works in the building.

After a year being open to residents many areas remain incomplete. Thing that are finished are nice. Things that are not are dirty and unkempt.

Overall, like the location, appliances are new and working. Dislike the lack of hot water, the elevators being down constantly, the amenities are hit or miss just depending on the day and time, and they seem to arbitrarily enforce harmless rules against some people yet do not enforce them against others.

I would really recommend a dropbox be added to the office for checks. Waiting until someone is in the office is inconvenient and several times no one has been there during office hours.

Maintence is very fast. They communicate regularly & efficiently by email. The staff is friendly & knows their residents. Weekend security is great & takes the oppotunity to get to know the residents & most importantly out pets.

The facilities are very nice. However, the new restaurant downstairs gets very noisy and you can hear all the conversations from the apartment. Also, the original drawing shows a pool, but there is no pool, just a patio--which was disappointing during the summer months.

There's still a lot of construction going on at The Chisca. It seems like a lot of the hallways are still unfinished. Especially the big area downstairs that's unfinished - it'd be great if that space was actually usable. Sometimes the security gates are broken - parking lot gate is left open/door from parking lot to building stays open. Overall though, I love the location and the unique feel of the building!

The apartments are nice; however, maintenance is subpar. I rarely see the 1913 building being cleaned. The floors are original and are in bad shape. While I understand they're preserving the charm of the former hotel the hallways flooring could be buffed and polished so that it doesn't look as bad as it does. There is no area for pets. The grassy area in the parking lot is used but owners do not curb their pets. Placing pet waste baskets could solve that issue.

I was disappointed on the overall finish of the common spaces. It's like efforts just came to a halt for the side I live on. Need to get a better handle on pet owners.

Loud, intermittent sounds coming from outside (due to building). Thin walls.
