    I can't relate to these bad reviews at all. I have been here 8 months and the only noise issues are from the Allen High School football games across the street. (Another plus: having a High School that close you don't have to worry about certain people living near you.) Even that noise can be blocked out with a tv or fan. Never seen a bug, never seen a rodent, and I am not overly tidy. Electricity stays under $100 so it's well insulated. If you live in an apartment you are going to hear your neighbors upstairs. Do you actually expect everyone to live on the same schedule as you? Lol. Nice clean updated apartments. Staff is always nice to me and my child. Maintenance comes the same day. The only issue I have is 1/3 of my plugs the top one doesn't work and the plugs in my bathroom go out a lot. The bathtub also drains slow but I think that's my hair getting in the drain and draino fixes it. They aren't noisy at alllll considering it's an apartment and you are living very close to many others. They also didn't give me a hard time with the pet deposit when I kept a sick friend's cat. The pool is really nice and even has some shade. The trash pick up is awesome. Near a lot of really good shopping and a great school district. Just got AT&T fiber. Parking past 8 pm is pretty annoying and the gates are always open but I hate gates so I prefer that.

    I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place!! I have lived here for a year and a half and this has been THE BEST experience I have ever had living in an apartment. If I didn't work in Dallas and need to be closer to work because I'm not a fan of traffic... I would live here as long as I could! The management = amazing, everyone is SO friendly and always willing to go above and beyond to help, the maintenance guys are incredible, too! A few of my faves are... Karen, Breanna, Scott and I just met Jennifer the other day and she was super sweet! The amenities = incredible... I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pool, I haven't used the work out room that much... I prefer running the trail behind the complex, they have community events going on all the time and I love that, too! They are great at organizing fun things! Maintenance = ALWAYS on time and always gets everything taken care of!Last... but, definitely not least, the unit itself... OH.MY.GOODNESS!!! The price is incredible for everything you're getting. I live in the A3... the granite countertops, crown molding, desk, dining room, patio, storage... EVERYTHING! I could seriously go on and on about this place and WISH so badly I could move everything about this complex to Dallas with me! TRUST ME... what I've found in Dallas doesn't compare AT ALL to the gem I've found at The Gates! You won't be disappointed if you lease here... I pinky promise ;)

    Poor, poor, poor, maintenance, landscape of the facility had been going down. Amenities are now nonexistent and the the Gates have been broken and open and residents cars have been broken into. Rodents are ramped. Interterior has Very low grade appliances. My carpet is soo bad I have nails coming through it, I cannot vacuum which is becoming a health concern for both my husband and my son Not a safe place to live. I had given a 5 star review but now only 1 if not 0000 if I could.

    We have been a resident of the Gates of Allen for 3 going on 4 years now. We love our apartment complex. Maintenance is great! The staffing at the front desk is is great! They know everything about the complex and residents. I am happy to renew my lease every year! They go above and beyond for your needs!! Great location for the area, you can access everything with low volume of traffic.... I highly recommend this apartment complex ~ great with your children too!!! Great scholarship district! Park in walking distance! Can't day enough!

    Noise level was unbearable in ground floor apartment. Family who lived above produced noise at all hours. Everyday living was impacted negatively by noise level.
