Terrible management. I have been through 5 managers and sales teams in 3 years. They will lie to you to get you to sign. Work orders are NEVER done in a timely manner. For the amount of rent you pay this is far from luxury. I have lived at this property since 2017. I was promised an "occupied upgrade" by October 2017. NEVER happened. By the end of 2018 I finally had upgraded appliances and door handles. The beginning of 2020 I finally had granite counter tops. I had to fight every year for renewal not to be charged full price as a fully upgraded apartment. The apartment is still not fully upgraded. I gave up. I have stayed here b/c I work a mile from the apartments. Fast forward to June 2020,height of the Covid-19 crisis, customer service has become grime. Complete lack of communication. It's like a scene from the "Night of the Comet" reaching out for a response from a human. When I was pushed to sign for a 1 bedroom transfer, I did so stating that I wanted the option to fall back on my apartment 2 bedroom in a matter of days when the company I worked for had more answers of how to handle job positions. I was told thats fine. I was just "holding" the one bedroom so it would not be sold in the meantime. I came back wanting to stay in the two bedroom & was told it was sold out from under me the SAME day I was pushed to go ahead and sign the transfer for the 1 bedroom. Now to present July when I hesitantly and forcefully was moving into the one bedroom on July 10th the apartment was NOWHERE near ready. Not only an active water leak, bathtub is filthy & cracked, & toilet that is not even bolted to the floor! Flooring was peeling up. Etc, ETC! The water leak (which is from the upstairs bath drain, GROSS!!!) was addressed TWICE and as of now began again. If you have an apartment with shared walls and someone above you it is LOUD. I have had numerous complaints from my work calls that they can hear the background noise and it is distracting. Buyer beware.

I cannot express how grateful I am to have found this place I have now called home for 2 + years. The manager, Katie, communicates well with the residents. She is very approachable and easy to talk to, which is important to me. I feel like I am well taken care of and I can't imagine moving to any other apartment here in Austin!!

As a current resident I will strongly recommend that if you are considering moving to Barton Creek Villas - do NOT do it. I have lived here since 2014 and until mid 2017 I loved living here. Now I absolutely hate it. The rent increased $120/month in 2017 for 1bed/1bath and they are raising rates again in 2018, but quality has not improved at all. There are also constantly increasing ridiculous fees such as a HOA fee and community electric fees. The payment portal is not very user friendly and you guessed it - you are charged a fee to pay online EFT. When I renewed my lease in April 2017(much to my regret and for what will be the last time). I asked for a dishwasher that gets my dishes clean and to have my garage door insulated in order to renew. I was told that they could meet my requests. Eight months later, the dishwasher finally was replaced with another cheap builder grade model and it still does not get the dishes clean. According to many of my neighbors, they have the same problem. The mgmt solution to insulate the garage door in this "luxury" apartment was to give me a piece of foam to do it myself. That was after several months of nagging AND not enough to get the job done the first time so more months of nagging to get enough to get the job done myself. These are just a couple examples of a very long list of why not to move here. I tried contacting the Connor Group with my frustration - I got a lip service response and have been brushed off and ignored by them since...Save yourself the aggravation and do not lease from Connor @ Barton Creek Villas. If you do lease or renew your lease be sure to get a copy of the entire signed lease to avoid future misunderstandings and that you get in writing an end date any requirements to renew -with the contingent that if the deadline is not met you will be released from your lease with no penalty. If you have not signed a lease, save yourself the aggravation and lease from a newer apartment nearby.
