My family has lived here a long time. The neighborhood is nice, neighbors can be noisy but we've learned to ignore the thin walls/floors. Maintenance has gotten better over the years, things get fixed quickly next day. That's great. Management has been fine, there's rarely an issue with them other than a recent thing with a bug with renters insurance where they threatened a fine if I didn't respond that day (and the notice was postmarked for the day before I even got it, they said they don't have enough porters to cover the complex). Got it fixed promptly, fine. Then there's the renovations. Residents are barely given 24 hours (weekend if we're lucky, don't go on any trips out of town!) to move things to comply with these requests. They've so far removed the main storage cabinets in the kitchen, leaving a ridiculously small amount of storage. What was once the small spice cabinet is now spice/dishes! Cabinets above the fridge? The bigger fridge now makes those completely inaccessible without a tall stepstool, which there isn't room for anyways. New counters, appliances, oven hood, fine. This coming week is even worse. Now that the new counters are done, time to completely clean out the cabinets I just rearranged and dump it all in boxes so they can paint them! All of them. Oh, bathrooms too. Sucks if you have pets, the main bedroom has cabinets that need painting. (The cabinets are old and could use some repairs, but no inspection to see where it's needed, just paint over it). And immediately the next day, lighting! Everywhere! Clear out the bathrooms, kitchen, and the closets! THIS IS NOT OKAY. This could have been done in a couple of days with ample warning on everything that's going to be done but residents have been mostly kept in the dark. Management has just shrugged and said that this is up to the new owners, or to complain to the contractors about the abrupt notices. This has been poorly executed.

I live in the townhome section of the Woods of Bedford. I have been pleasantly surprised about my experience thus far. The other tenants are friendly and there's a lot of families with kids around. The maintenance crew are really fast at responding too. The only trouble I've had here so far is an old, faulty air conditioner that they can't seem to fix just yet. Other than that it's been great. I was hesitant to move to an older property but I've been proven wrong and I like it here.
