I lived here for one year. My apartment unit felt like it didnt have any climate control, as if it lacks insulation. Im glad I did the math and found an electricity plan that didnt cost me hundreds per month. Pro-tip: at the top of your stairs/landing, hang blackout curtains. That will keep your heat/air in your unit better.
The resurfacing of the countertops and counters was rushed and didnt look very appealing in person. The carpet was thin, floors creeped and it was easy to hear everything my neighbors were doing. Honestly, all of those things are to be expected with older apartments.
These arent the worst apartments, but they are not the best, nor are they luxurious. I would expect for the rents to increase, especially as new apartment complexes are built and several in the area are updated.
Also, you cant get out of the cable charge. The apartment complex is supposed to supply you with a box when you move in, but they make you go to the cable company and get it. That was verified with the cable company.
At move out, you will be charged a cleaning fee, regardless if you clean or not. My unit was not cleaned when I moved in, and I cleaned prior to moving out. It was cleaner than when I moved in initially!
The maintenance staff did respond quickly to the work orders I requested.
