Woodhaven Fort Worth is a neighborhood that is situated between the Loop 820 East interchange and the corner of Interstate 30. The town dates back to 1969 when Jon Connally, the Governor of Texas, and other investors purchased an area of land on the Boaz Ranch Estate to develop into a community. The initial construction of the neighborhood's residential homes started in the 1970s. The Woodhaven Country Club, which is the center of the community, opened in the summer of 1973.
