I decided not to renew my lease at Vintage Park Apartments because of an excesive increse in rent, and addiotnal forced liabilities instead of making it your own choice, such as internet and rental insuranace. It took the leasing agent 4 times to explain the new terms if i renewed which made me feel like they were not being transparent in consideration of a 16-20% increase in rent from prior lease. It was because of feeling deceived that i moved out, not because I could not afford to renew at that at that increase. My final move out date was July 16,2019. I received a final move out invoice to my forwarding address from Vintage Park Apartments in the mail 08/05/2019. It contains several items, however 2 of them are what concern me. They said I owe $128.82 to replace 1 set of blinds in the guest bedroom. The blinds are in the same condition as when i moved in, 2 sets were actually broken upon move in, meaning they would not open or close. I had a bed in each bedroom with large headboards in from of each bedroom window, so I never opened or closed the blinds anyways. The carpet had been steam cleaned prior to my move in, but was still pretty rancid and dingy looking. Because of that steamcleaning, it masked areas of normal wear and tear, as well as discoloration. Over time the carpet near the entrance/exit patio door showed dark discoloration from historic foot traffic. This carpet should have been renewed when i moved in, but it's even more appalling they want to charge me $173.20 to lift a "large" stain, which i never stained the carpet. I lived there alone, and am pretty meticulous and orgranized. With the exception of some dusting in higher hard to reach places, and some minor bethroom clean up, i left the property in the condition it was rented to me at.

Been living here for almost 2 years and the parking situation just gets worse and worse. We are forced to park outside the complex and hope we don't get towed. This is awful they need a car limit per apartment or they are over capacity. Don't live here unless you want to drive around and around for an hour just to park across the street and walk to your apartment. Let me tell you how fun it is with a car full of groceries.
