    Unfortunately, after we paid the admin and security deposit, the apartment that we were considering no longer was available. So now they have to refund us our money back. Hopefully something else opens up in the near future.

    I've stayed here for a very long time. Lets say over 4 years. I used to love this place. We've been through many management companies. Our leasing manager was Tom (great guy). Now there is a leasing manager (Nick). At first he seemed nice and respectful. I was positive about the experience, but when a situation came up and I had presented my concern, he was sadly dismissive. He took my concern as a complaint. And lately the property management as a whole has been more about making more money (finding ways to make more money - which is the goal), but it seems its at the burden of residents who live here. We have two elevators that service 8 floors. One is in disrepair. Previous management have had the elevators repaired quickly (its been in disrepair more than I can count in the past two years). Unfortunately, this time around it seems that the elevator has been out of order for about a month, possibly more. Many folks have to wait sometimes 10 to upwards of 15 minutes for the one elevator, causing them to be late to work or appointments. We pay a substantial amount of rent to live here. You'd think they'd take care of that. Customer service with Bobby (their Assistant Leasing) manager is great. Concerns are validated and he makes you feel like you are heard. Ofcourse you don't want folks to bow down to you, you just want to feel appreciated as a resident here...not dismissive or nonchalant, but empathetic to the concerns of your residents - each and everyone. I will update my review as time goes on. Not sure I want to renew my lease. Just my opinion.

    Hello, we are sad to hear your recent experience at our Community. We strive to make each interaction positive and memorable. We would like to readdress the concern you previously brought up to Nick and source a solution for you. Please contact curve6100@gables.com so we can make this right! We understand your frustration with the recent elevator situation. Repairs conducted in the past were quickly responded to as they were minor adjustments. Unfortunately, the hoist cables for the downed elevator require replacement. Correspondence sent out from the leasing office regarding this elevator noted extended repair times due to materials being manufactured and shipped from Europe. We look forward to the work being conducted at the end of March 2021 to elevate the function of both elevators. Our doors are always open to meet with you regarding specific concerns.

    Power/electricity went out Memorial Day weekend on several floors. HUGE disappointment, considering the building is not that old. Went out, thought they fixed it...the next day the power went out again. Completely unacceptable for a holiday weekend with guest visiting. Unacceptable and embarrassing for me. Building has been under several different management companies. Use to be a $30-$50 yrly rent increase...now more

    The Carmel is a nice building to live in, the floor plans are designed well and parking is convenient. However the elevators are loud and you can hear them from inside your apartment. I am hoping they will fixed or replaced soon. If they are not, I would not recommend living here.
