If I could rate this place 0 I would. Do not move here. The management company is a nightmare. I moved in and immediately had issues with my hot water heater that is probably a 20 year old model. I was told well its within the legal limit so we wont do anything. I noticed the beginnings of black mold coming from my vent, called put in a request no answer, nothing. Then my AC/heating unit which is also about 20 years old started leaking into my closet. Suddenly the property gets sold, I called them daily for a month and a half. The only listed number was disconnected. Then the leak gets worse and the mold expands. They came in suddenly while I was out of town for a funeral an inspection and I have video of them walking into the apartment. Its so blatantly obvious once you walk in the mold problem you cant miss it. I call no response and no one followed up. Then the AC unit quit working all together still no response. Dont let them fool you the property keeps changing names due to complaints.

Management of Barracks West changed while I was a resident. I tried to work with them to end my lease early after I bought a house. The property manager insisted I would be held responsible for the entire duration of my lease but then proceeded to violate my lease. I'm still fighting them after they sent my last months rent to a collection agency.

The apartment complex as a whole was not bad. My AC was broken when I moved in, but I got a portable one while I waited for it to be fixed. What was interesting is that my unit was not actually owned by Barracks West, it was owned by a private investor and managed by Barracks West. I did not know that until I left. This unit was in the area of the complex that was reserved for Section 8 housing. Also, my dog got worms because there is an abundance of dog feces to be found on the grounds.
