At first, my experience with this place was good, but when I had to renew my lease, everything changed. The leasing apartment increased the price, while it gave others a one-month free rent and the same price for the apartment if they renew their lease. They have accidentally sent me this offer, which belonged to a different resident. When I requested the same offer for me, they said that it was for a resident with financial issues. However, I know for a fact that a lot of people are receiving this offer when they want to move out. So basically, they give you this offer to make you renew the lease. Another problem is a water shut off that happens at least 4 times in two weeks or even more. Do not trust the pictures it is not they show! They have bad smells on the hallways and stairways. The AC in the hallway works better than in the apartments. The AC in my apartment is shocking and makes strange noises. I request the leasing office to fix it, and one of their workers came on the next day to check and see what the issue is. He promised to come back in 30 minutes, but we never saw him again. I called them again, and they made emergency notes, but nothing has changed. Another huge reason for my disappointment is mice! I am having this problem the second time already, and this is gross! I have tried to reach out to the management team by emailing them several times but got no reply. In my last email, I stated all my complaints, but they have replied only to the aspect of mice. So basically, they are ignoring resident's complaints. Management doesnt care about the residents at all and never respond on time. Below, I will attach the picture. My tremendous advice, DO NOT MOVE IN.

There has been no hot water for a week and now there is no heat. Management is a joke as there is someone new every other week.

1. Issues with Flood Twice: About 10:00 in the morning of January 25, when the wash machine in my apartment would not stop flowing water to the kitchen, I immoderately reported the management. It was not just leaking and was strong stream of water. However, until the residents below my unit in the downstairs reported "emergency" when the water was leaking from their ceiling, about 4:00 in the afternoon on the next day, nobody came to my apartment to even look at the situation. The carpets and all of my belongs and furniture, including many area rugs, five bookcases, and others, in the kitchen, the dining room, the hallway, and some parts of the living room were completely soaked in about four inches of water. Finally on February 4th, the maintenance person fixed it. However, the wash machine was letting water out again. All of the carpets, belongs, and furniture got completely wet again. When I wanted to discuss this issue with the general manager, he did not admit any negligence on the management part. Moreover, he did not even give me any chance to talk to him. Instead, he just left me as soon as he finished repeating whatever he wanted to say. He has been very rude and disrespectful. 2. Issues with Mice: On January 21th, I reported that I saw a mouse in the living room of my apartment. The next day afternoon, the management came to put mouse traps. However, in the morning of January 25th when I reported hearing a crying, whining, struggling mouse that was possibly dying at late night of 24th, no one responded. Yet, the website indicated that someone had already resolved the issue on January 26th, which is not true because I never left the apartment on both 25th and 26th. I finally saw a maintenance person on April 4th when he removed the first mouse that has been dead under the oven since January 24th. Since then I have found five more mice, and four dead mice have been found and removed by a worker.

Mice and roach infestations so bad you could see them in the daytime. We had a mold issue in all 3 bedrooms where the vent would leak water causing black mold on the drywall and flooded carpets causing us to sleep in the living room for safety while it dried. Our last day there was Sept 17th. On September 14th we called the leasing office to come do a walk through to cover our butts so we didn't get any shady move out fees. The gentleman came did a walk through and told us everything looked good and that it was normal wear and tear. We moved out September 17th, and this morning I get a $1200 invoice for the carpet and walls! I call the rental office and guess what? The leasing agent that gave me the thumbs up no longer works for UDR! The leasing office says to call Colorado which is the corporate office. So I call there explain the situation and get told tough luck if the employee isn't there there's no proof? On top of that the people at corporate had a very rude attitude and spoke down to me with an antagonistic tone both times I called. Avoid this place, you get what you pay for. It's sad that even the corporate office acted this way towards us.
