Walls are paper thin. Management "couldn't do much" when the tenant above me was throwing parties throughout the week from 11 p.m. - 4 a.m. in the morning for a year. If you live on the third floor I'm sure it's great because your ceilings are vaulted and you don't have any upstairs neighbors.

Many issues when moving in, the air conditioning didn't work (during a heat wave in the summer), the cold water in the shower, light switches, and wifi ports didn't work. These took considerable time and personal effort to fix. The third floor view is poor as the trees block everything and there is increased air space in the ceiling of the third floor which costs more to air condition. Lots of cigarette butts in the courtyard all around. A few windows don't fully close or lock, so air and water creeps in. We've found cockroaches inside our apartment in every season and cockroaches crawling all over the storage space and deck. Rent is increasing 40% which is just absurd. Management is living in a whole different world if they think this is a reasonable increase, when surrounding comparable apartments are significantly cheaper. I will be hiring movers and still save money due to this.
