In 1876, a Canadian named George Brackett bought land and began commercial logging in what is now the center of downtown Bothell. After establishing a store, a school and a sawmill, Brackett eventually sold 80 acres to Pennsylvania settler David Bothell. The city was officially incorporated in 1909.
Today, Bothell, less than a 40 minute drive away from Seattle, has over 33,000 residents and a selection of activities to offer that are so diverse and appealing that they are sure to dispel any complaints of boredom on any given weekend.
