Overview of Broadway

Broadway in Seattle is one of the city's more centrally-located neighborhoods. Though there are no skyscrapers or large buildings, this area is one of Seattle's busier sections of town. Broadway Avenue, which is the main street of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, is hip, eclectic, and upscale. It offers everything from organic grocery stores to local coffee roasters to nightclubs.

The city of Seattle is the largest in the Pacific Northwest, with over three million people in the urban area. The regional climate is cool, humid, and overcast for much of the year. This weather nurtures the green grass and trees that blanket the entire city.

At the low end, studio or one bedroom apartments in Broadway Seattle will rent for around $900 and up. The more expensive single-person units can rent for around $1,100 and up. Luxurious apartments and townhouses that have multiple bathrooms, bedrooms, and other amenities, can rent for upwards of $4,000 per month.

The apartments on Broadway in Seattle offer many amenities, including access to parking garages, full time maintenance staff, high speed internet, fitness centers, and private balconies. Some of the units with rooftop access or private balconies have excellent views of downtown to the west and the Cascades to the east.

Broadway Seattle Dining & Entertainment

Broadway in Seattle has some of the city's best entertainment and nightlife. Those who enjoy going out will certainly find something to suit their tastes, from live music bars, such as Moe Bar, to pubs, such as Linda's Tavern, to Irish Pubs, such as the Six Arms. Broadway is also home to Seattle's gay community, and has a number of venues that cater to the LGBT community.

For those interested in outdoor activities, there are several parks and recreational areas in the vicinity. Dozens of city parks and hiking trails can be reached within a half an hour.

Pet Friendly Apartments in Broadway Seattle

It is not difficult to find apartments that allow pets. This area is home to a wide selection of pet facilities, including grooming facilities, veterinarians, and so forth. Since the city is so large, it is also easy to find specialized facilities, such as clinics that cater only to cats or mobile veterinary services.

Commuting In & Around Seattle

Seattle has some of the worst traffic in the nation, and a large part of that reputation has to do with the commute. During peak hours, Seattle's major highways become clogged and travel time often doubles. Fortunately, Broadway is close to downtown: those who commute inside the city will have a shorter distance to cover, and those who travel outside the city will be going the opposite direction of everyone else.

Those interested in mass transit can also take advantage of Seattle's bus system. King County Metro Transit spans the entire county, and offers connecting service to surrounding counties.

Broadway Seattle Schools & Education

Seattle has a very strong education system. The Seattle public school district serves the entire city of Seattle, including Broadway. The neighborhood is served by two elementary schools and a high school, and there are several private schools located in the city.

Seattle Central Community College is located directly on Broadway, as is Seattle University. The University of Washington, Seattle's largest university, has tens of thousands of students and is only a few minutes to the north. Seattle has several other vocational schools, technical colleges, and institutions of higher education that are within driving distance of Broadway.
