Seattle's bus system does an excellent job of connecting the various parts of the city, however, and can offer drivers some relief from the traffic. Additionally, Lower Queen Anne's central location does offer a shorter commute to neighborhoods close to the city proper.

Queen Anne has its own elementary schools and a high school. Seattle has several universities and community colleges, such as the University of Washington and Seattle University. The closest college to Lower Queen Anne is Seattle Pacific University, which is located only a few minutes away, in Upper Queen Anne.
