      I would give the Lodge at Madrona ZERO STARS if that was an option. Upon move out, they claimed we had "delaminated" the carpets and said we wouldn't be receiving our security deposit back since the carpets needed to be replaced. We showed them photos showing the carpets in perfect condition and they backtrack. They said the carpets were re-evaluated and they weren't going to charge us for the replacement of carpets. Instead, they found a pet odor - We never had a pet!! We brought that to their attention and the pet odor miraculously disappeared. Absolutely TERRIBLE COMPANY!

      I wouldnt live here ever.. I was planning to move in- had my lease signed before my move in date, already made my deposit and first months rent.. THEN morning I was suppose to move in the office called me and said my unit wasnt ready and hadnt even started to clean or update it and told me I couldnt move in until later in the week... WHAT?!? I said fine, trying to be calm and figure out a way to move in the same day. The manager said she would try and get it ready but no guarantees. Whats that mean? But I said okay, and was planning to get the keys at 5pm before their office closed so I could get at least the heavy furniture in(mind you I took work off and organized help to move that same day). THEN, early afternoon I get a call from the office saying that they needed to rewrite my lease because they didnt know I had a dog and that I definitely couldnt move in that same day.. MY DOG WAS IN THE LEASING OFFICE FOR OVER AN HOUR WHEN I WAS SIGNING PAPERWORK- how did you not know I had a dog? I even marked it on the lease I signed! At that point I realized they are very nice to you until they get your money and then drag you around and act like its not their fault.. since they breached the lease I decided to not move in and get my cashiers check back that I had given them previously. I also tried to get my non-refundable deposit back because they told me I couldnt even move in on the day I was suppose to and the manager was very rude and tried to make this situation my fault-refuses to give it back. None the less, I would avoid this place at all cost.

      Yall never rent The Lodge At Madrona they sent us a $3700 move out bill because they double charged us several line items including double Jan rent and double the lease termination fee. Even though their bill ledger shows we Fing paid Jan rent (our last month) and the early term fee. Ive called twice now to speak to a manager and Im told she is too busy to talk to me. Better get resolved fast before my husband is off tomorrow cause I can guarantee he is going to be 1000x less pleasant than me! Funny enough when you remove all the double charges and incorrect stuff (for example the move out work order summary says touch up paint was $100 but the bill ledger they put it at $1000) they actually OWE US money. Not to mention a random line item that is titled as a credit yet its in the ledger as a charge We had a dryer that didnt work for two weeks and a dishwasher that didnt work for over a month despite multiple maintenance visits and nothing changed until we went into the office. Yet we didnt complain when they raised our rent. It doesnt matter how a place is when youre there it matters more how they treat you when they want to steal your money from you. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional that I should have to be spending time going through line by line to make sure everything is corrected. /livid

      Moving is a stressful activity. My leasing agent Danielle and all the other fantastic staff members to include Shawna are awesome; they have amazing personalities. They made the process seamless. After calling around to several locations the comaradey was the leveraging point. Location is amazing. Hidden, private and elevated. Located near the busline, baseball stadium, Chambers Bay, Freeway, Full-service Grocery Store(s), Vet Center, Sunset Zip-line Park, TCC and any other store or community service you might need. Cental Tacoma with easy access to University Place and Fircrest. The complex is aesthetically pleasing. The units have washer/dryers; they are wide open and bright. I love the updated flooring and layout. There is a community car wash, pool, playground, cafe and residents complex with a gym. I understand this is one of the few that allow larger dog breeds and maybe the only with a large off leash dog park. I think it is great to have this option although I do not have a dog. I might want one in the future. The issue I see.... As a global citizen with a military background...Here is my suggestion if you would like it: Exactly how you moved in...must be exactly how you move out. Professional cleaning and a paint touch up with a year lease. What you really want to know* The Lodge at Modrona is now backed by a long standing local real estate company invested in community development. We are growing here in Tacoma there is no doubt. This is a team of passionate people who are more than willing to help stabilize your housing during this shift. They are assuring and will support you through the approval process & moving in comfortably. Everyone has different reasons on why they may want to rent. My goal was to find a engaging community where I can grow professionally while working on all the details that lead to home ownership. I'm thankful to have found that.
